Ok, it's a bit early- but better too early than too late;

With a pretty much standard 3R what preparations should be made before track day?

My list so far is-
Check engine and box oil.
Both should be to top limit- or should the box be overflow+ a bit?
Brake pads
Enough meat on to last the day plus getting home again
Hub and wheelnuts tight

Any thoughts on brake and steering fluid? (mines a couple of years old now).
If replacing then what's the spec /up-spec?

Nothing like being prepared !!!
Remember , no shorts or short sleeves , you will need your drivers licence when you sign on .
Towing eyes at both ends
Type pressures will need to be adjusted , tyres get much hotter on track therefore you will need to drop the pressures accordingly .
Brakes , I use good quality Dot 5 fluid which I change every year to avoid moisture build up .
Pads should be no more than half worn , if you have drilled disc CLEAN OUT THE WHOLES !!!!
If you have a black steering fluid pot put a tennis head band to soak up any that you loose .
No hand help cameras or fixed by suction pads , they must be solidly fixed .
You will need a helmet even if you are a passenger .
The overtaking rules ar on the left only and by consent , if you get a poxy caterham behind you let him past , they will be very quick around Rockingham !!!
Always do a warm up lap and a cool down lap , never put your handbrake after a run .
Grooved disc are better but make sure your hubs are good .
I hope I've covered most bits .
