I had wondered how I would have faired had I been in the car. I had parked, removed my seat belt, then fiddled with something. I'd only got out 2 minutes before impact.
So she hit by car at 40mph & shunted it 1-2ft forward into an oak post that didn't move. I'm guessing I'd have eaten the steering wheel?
yes definitely a close shave .... not a pleasant sight getting carted into A & E with a steering wheel attached to your face .... someone was definitely looking over your shoulders.

Must admit, my biggest concern with the Noble is if I'm in an accident my head will most likely hit the 'cage. Hit my head on it comparatively gently whilst driving before and it was pretty solid.

Wouldn't worry about too much, Flat Eric wasn't even wearing a seatbelt and he was okay.

Glad your taking it so well, on a serious note who are you insured with & how are they handling the claim, I'm with Elephant/Admiral & although the premiums are good I always wonder how good the service will be in the eventuality of a claim & will they understand its a specialist repair that all their approved repairers wont be able to handle.

I'm with Admiral multi car. They've been excellent so far and the girl's insurer, Churchill, had admitted responsibility within 24hr. So hopefully it will all continue smoothly.

Tom, I span the Noble on some diesel and stuffed the rear clam some 18 months ago, I was with admiral fully comp. They acknowledged it warranted a specialist repairers through Kerridges and paid out about £15k to get it repaired, couldn't fault them. John

Just adding to the commiserations mate, I did a sharp intake of breath when I saw it... Glad the girl wasn't worse off and that you're philosophical about it.

Hopefully Jetstream will be able to restore her to her full glory, those chaps work miracles

Oh no .. I haven't been on the forum for ages.

We both (my wife and I) still remember the amazing BBQ you did at your amazing house. She still talks about it every time we drive through a nice village.

Glad that everyone is fine and that you were out of the car - that is the most important thing. Whilst we love our Nobles - it is still just a car. Life is far more important and I am glad both parties are OK.

Good luck with what ever happens - repair or new car!

Glad to see from the other thread that your insurers have sorted you out pretty quickly. Hope you find a good replacement soon.
