Newbie looking to buy, if I can find one !
Discussion
Hi. Stick with your search for a Noble. I got one just over 4 weeks ago (3R) and it is brilliant. Like most say - buy on condition not milage or age. The different models have pros and cons over each other, as you will have gathered from reading the posts. Speak to as many people as you can. I got mine through Jetstream - it had only just come up for sale and wasn't actually for sale on the general market. So just because there aren't many in the classifieds doesn't mean they're not out there. Obviously there are limited numbers, as not that many were made in the first place, but be patient and you should find one.
Already I can't see myself selling mine. They make a wickedly fast road car and if looked after properly should be a great buy. Mines a standard 3R on a 53 plate and hopefully won't give me much trouble, if any. So far so good, but it is early days. You'd like to think that if a car is going to have any problems that they would have been sorted in the 12 years since new!!??

Trust me, you will have issues! As you said its now 12 year old, so a few bits will be coming to the end of their life. Was it the dark blue 3R you bought from Jetstream?Already I can't see myself selling mine. They make a wickedly fast road car and if looked after properly should be a great buy. And so you should. I bought my 3R 18 months ago and it the best thing I have ever had, I love it. It gets driven hard on track, goes to Le Mans, I use it for work when the sun shines, it really is a wonderful thing. Everyone I have met through the forum has been helpful and passionate, don't hesitate, go look for a nice one, as people say, don't worry too much on mileage go for one that has been cared for and had the correct mods carried out. They are testing at times (my gearbox has gone again), but they are not unreasonable in terms of cost to look after. the smiles make up for the pain.. Happy hunting.

Anything I should know about the 2.5's ? £10k less than black one ? It's been like the devil & Angel on my shoulders this week
I don't know anything about that one, but has he replaced the rear grill mesh with a solid board ? looks frightening. However a 2.5 has appeared, is it anyone on here ?

If your looking at 2.5's - Chappers car looks good to me, he will be along in a minute, or do a search for him. I also know a nice GTO3 that's available, best PM me

Hi and welcome.
Even for occasional track use ensure whichever you buy has a "trackday sump" fitted.
Despite talk of spring being the best car buying time I've always found there to be no specific time of year much different to any other. I've bought in November and January - people are looking anytime. There aren't many for sale 'cause there aren't many and people seem to be holding onto them at the moment.
Regarding the car you mention it looks clean and well worth a look. It appears almost stock apart from the BoV, rear light and side repeaters all being changed. One curiosity I see is the older type power steering fluid reservoir fitment. AFAIR, these were fitted to the older 2.5 and 3.0s (others may correct me on this) so I wonder how it got onto a newer 3R. Worth asking Warren down there as he'll be the only one to make sense of anything!
Post a report on the inspection if you go and look and good luck with your search.
