Thank you very much for posting the video of how the Noble is Built - fascinating. When your buying a Noble you search everywhere for as much information as you can but I didn't come across this. Its worth a listing/heading of its own.

Just to clarify, is this how all Nobles were built, even the UK ones? Is this still the arrangement today for the ones built in the states? I am surprised someone isn't importing these into the UK or assembling them here (with the American owners consent).

From what I've heard, when Rossion purchased the rights to the Noble M12/M400, the agreement prohibited Rossion from selling cars in the UK. Noble Automotive in the UK retained the UK marketing and distribution rights to the M12/M400 (along with the worldwide rights to the Noble name, etc.).

The Rossion Q1s originally were built in South Africa at Hi-Tech, but that arrangement was terminated several years ago. According to Rossion, they are now building the Q1 in the U.S., but who really knows if they've managed to build and sell any fully US-sourced cars...

Yes, Mike certainly gave it some praise. Regardless of what people think about the programme and what may have happened to the car after it was sold on, Wheeler Dealers has a wide audience so awareness of the Noble brand, and subsequently values, should increase. Even my son's school mates (aged 12) have been talking about the Noble on Wheeler dealers so hopefully we'll be appealing to a variety of age groups from now on.

For all of you that enjoyed the show and are wanting the real story of what happened off camera. I am the new owner of the car. Mike actually did want to buy the car from the production company. when I went in to film the sale, he was a bit sad about letting it go. During the filming of the test drive at the track, they pushed the car very hard and at some point it ran lean and burned a piston. The car was taken to Jetstream (they consulted on the episode and provided parts) I was offered an option, they would replace the 2.5 with a used one from a jetstream customers car that did a 3.0 upgrade, at wheeler dealers expense, or Jetstream had access to a factory new M-15 engine from Noble. Noble had few engines left over from the cancelled M-15 program. All I had to do was pay the difference between the used engine and the new one. I also opted to upgrade to ball bearing T28 turbos and of course the required M400 manifolds. The car is just about finished and will be remapped to around 500-525HP. The work that was done by Edd and Phil, his assistant on the show was top notch. They did alot of stuff off camera such as refurbish the wheels, resprayed the front clam. Swapped the original gauge cluster back in.. I actually prefer the look of the front end on the 2.5 car over the 3r or the m400, so for me I got the best of both worlds. The Noble is a change of direction for me. I have several cars and I track most of them, with the exception of my 68 Lotus 51B all of the cars were road cars that could be tracked. The Noble was meant to be a track car that you could drive on he street. I am excited to join the rest of the Noble enthusiasts who appreciate Lee Noble's brilliance. Cheers, Jim

Congratulations on the purchase and thanks for taking the time to post... I think you have done the right thing in the long run with the engine and turbos, it will be a brilliant car when done.

Welcome Jim,

Thanks for the update.

I did wonder what running it at full pelt for that long would do and I didn't believe the 170mph it hit.

I wonder who mapped it as maybe that had something to do with it running lean?

Must likely: fuel gauge untrusted, fuel tank level low and suction problems in parabolic curve.
