LED's have a visible angle range and thus the direction the LED is pointing is fairly important, I think thats the reason the ones above were recessed so that they pointing directly back and thus remained road legal.

I see the Led's used in both instances are actually of a different make and design so maybe these new cheaper ones have a higher visible working range and thus will remain road legal, Ive had the hella LEDs (ones in white car) a few years back for another car I built and I didn't really like them so sold them on, LED's have moved on a huge amount in the last 10 years.

I have seen round LED's in an original noble light unit which was then painted body colour, and of all the round ones I have seen I thought they looked the best.

Thanks guys for your positive comments. As always I keep getting sidetracked doing other things but I will try and get into the garage this weekend and get to the back of the car and put one in place and take some pics. Fitted my new carbon fibre steering wheel instead.

Sorry about the dark picture but the car is covered over and I haven't yet fitted strip light in the garage.

Tony they look pretty well made! Have you actually had them on the car and someone behind tell you that they are able to see the lights when they are on?

No i havnt installed them to the car, They are ready to be fitted, but so many other things to do.Once i get the time and space to get the clam up, il get them fitted and take some pics.
All i will say, is that ive covered the issues that u have asked about and i can say that the light sourse is visable from extreme angles, and 10 times better than the original lights. The light sourse from the LEDs are as bright as fook!!! lick
