I know it is a little late in the day but as someone who is purchasing an M12 GOT 2.5 then I feel like throwing in my 2 pence.
2yrs ago I bought an e46 m6 convertible, imola red, 55k full bmw service history. Superb condition throughout. I paid 10k for it. But I knew as an original example and in a rare desirable colour it would go up in price. Sure enough less than a year later i sold it for 15k. Prices shot up at that point. But, and this a big but in my opinion. But it was all original right down to puncture repair kit and first aide kit so it was the right one if you were looking for a cherished car.
So anyway, I turned 37 this week and decided to set myself a budget of 37k for a toy car. I looked at Porsches, Aston Martin's, Audi R8s etc etc but trawling PH I stumbled across the Noble and suddenly it all came rushing back. What an amazing car for the money. Did all my research on the car, opinions for people who matter and all that jazz. 1st things 1st. M12 values had already hit rock bottom years ago at around 18k so they have shown they go up in value. Its rare as rocking horse poop. Many had been exported. Its race proven on the track. It has historical value in terms of Lee's Noble and his story. So many things going for it. I am confident in buying this car will hold it's value at 32.5k or there about if not go up. Yes there are alternatives but do they offer investment value? I think not. Who buys a car as an investment? Me and many others. I 10yrs time I think it will have gone up in value or I will have broken even in a worst case scenario. Keep it clean and well maintained and you shall be rewarded.
Please excuse any poor English. I hate typing with a table while having a poo.
Thanks,
Rob.

I followed prices very closely from around 2008 up until 2013 (and of course since in so much I now own one), and I can tell you that prices never really changed at all throughout this period. When I could not find a suitable car in 2008, I bought a Porsche while I continued to look believing that at least I would pay less for one as they got older. However five years later I ended up paying the same amount but for a car that was now 5 years older and with a lot more mileage! I wish I had not waited and had another five years fun. Since buying one (2013) prices likewise have remained pretty static except for the past several months where certainly asking prices have increased notably (around 20/25%), although it is difficult to know what the actual prices realised are. It does seem about time when you consider what a great car the Noble is, not just for performance but accessibility (cheap parts and repairs) and the warmth the car receives by seemingly everyone out on the road. In my view it has always been something of a bargain, and with all manner of (dare I say more ordinary) cars going up in value it has inevitably led to a re-appraisal of the Noble, but it is still comparatively a bargain against this backdrop of rising prices.
