It's weird that the car looks in such good condition under the front and rear clam. But the blue alacantara looks old and discoloured.

Looks OK to me. Just the gearstick and handbrake gaters need a shampoo.

If it's the car I think it is (not 100% sure it is) it hadn't had the ECU done, diff nor did have the best service history.

Its a good looking car, it needs a few upgrades but its a nice base for a tidy low miles 2.5.

But - is that dashboard sprayed gloss black ? I know it looks like cleaner but from the passenger side photo it looks sprayed black

Looks like it could be cleaner - would be an odd modification to spray the dash

But the rest of the car looks immaculate. Inside the cabin sort of let's it down.

I would have chosen another way of selling but anyway...

Just another proof that our cars are going up in price. Someone paid 34.500 for a 2.5. Comparably well maintained and low mileage 3Rs should be in the 40s then.

Or maybe 2.5L are rarer so they are going to be worth more.

Yes,the VAT is only on the commission but the seller will have to pay a premium aswell so the auction house gets commission from both buyer and seller hence my estimate of an 8k difference.

I've just checked and Silverstone auctions charge sellers 5% commission plus £250 entry fee, all plus VAT.
So on £30k hammer price that makes £2100.
Add that to the £4500 the buyer will pay and you get £6600.
Not bad return for the auction house!

Hopefully the seller is pleased with the £27900 he will clear.

£34500 for a 2.5 is good money though, and hopefully sets some sort of baseline for all models.
