There is such a huge gap in the market for a good, informative and entertaining car/bike/motorsports programme. It will be interesting to see what Clarkson (who I also find irritating wink ) comes up with!!!!
I might just blow your mind.

Roadkill - Most like old Top Gear with a dash more ghetto duct tape, zero f**ks given and a whole heap more welding.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL12C0C916CE...

Engine Masters - Just engine porn. Testing engine performance on a dyno but strangely addictive.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGvTvFzdMg_...

Hot Rod Garage - a bit more educational and like a softer version of roadkill.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGvTvFzdMg_...

Regular Car Reviews - unique sense of humour, love him or hate him. Personally I find him very funny and reminds me that if you can't take the piss out of yourself and your own car you are going to have a very hard time getting through life.

Project Binky - two muppets from Shropshire cramming a celica gt4 into a mini shell. Lot's of monty python references and plug welds. Seriously impressive build.

Mighty Car Mods - one for younger viewers really but still very very entertaining and you can't help but love the two guys. I'm not one for Jap cars but their enthusiasm for vehicles is second to none, regardless of what they are or what 'scene' they represent.

You beat me to it.

MotorTrend has some great shows, Roadkill, ignition, head to head, engine masters and Finnigan has just started his own channel but that's a work in progress ATM.

So the conclusion is that most people don't like the presenters or the format.

Which is exactly what happened to the last incarnation which proved to be a global success.

I found it annoying. And I'll watch every episode.

My son was in the audience - following watching last night he said they've added much canned laughter. Said "we didn't laugh that much"!

Yesterdays was better, at least there was a point to the 4x4 reviews and I liked two of the three presenters!

I'll keep watching for now

This has been the latest criticism is the use of canned laughter. I missed last nights, but as most I will still watch it, and quietly moan to myself about it!!!! biggrin

I agree, it was quite good. Very much like old top gear with little changes.

Thumbs up from me.

I agree, much better.

The only trouble is I now really want a 675LT and that isn't ever gonna happen.

I find Chris Evans, really, really jarring - seemingly like most people. How he got past audience testing I do not know.

Anyone seen extra gear? - Chris Harris proves that he should have got the main job in that.

One good thing about New Top Gear... it makes American Top Gear actually look quite good.
