Are any of you big power boys running anything different from the injectors that yellowshed recommended. I'm wondering if there are any gains to be had from changing to something bigger?
Cheers Staircase

Yes mate , I'm running Asnu 750lb injectors .
Much better spray pattern and a lower duty cycle on full boost .

ok thanks Simon. are they a straight swap? and can you remember roughly how much they are?
Cheers Steve

Hi mate , yeah pretty much straight swap , think I paid £700 for a full set . Had to spec some slightly thicker O rings after I had a little leak . Just took a little bit of tweaking to get them sitting right .

+1 I use the same ones too,
Simon didn't you have to re map the car?

Cheers for pointing that out sundance thumbup
But I am changing a few things in one go.so will definitely be needing a re- map. I'm desperate to break the 700 mark this year.

Hi Steve in my opinion the pro alloy intercooler struggles with over 700 !!!
My last race engine made 678 at the wheels (hub dunno) with a new intercooler , it made 660 at the flywheel before . Only upgrades where injectors and intercooler !!!

Yeah Simon funnily enough the pro alloy is one of the things going along with Exhaust, coils ,Injectors, Inlet plenum and a few other bits.
Steve.

Be cautious with coils , we have tried a few with no success . I also got H&S to build me a 2-3/4 dia exhaust system which I'm sure helps a bit , I'm nervous of changing the inlet plenum , GTO 600 has seen 750 bhp on std inlet plenum and James at Radical has done a lot of work on Turbo cars and reckons the std setup is pretty good . Throttle bodies are a nice idea but massively difficult to setup . .
My next Dyno trip is with a new Syvec ecu , it will be interesting too see what sort of power she will make !!!

You have tried different coils? Didn't know that, I know plenty of people running upgraded ones without issue and it should be fairly easy for a decent tuner to set them up. I have after market ones because I had to turn the stock one up to work at the power I run and whilst they have been fine it's hardly optimal.... Not fitted the new ones yet but as I say they are well proven.

I reached the limit of the stock plenum, I know I'm going the complex ITB route but Steve isn't, he is just doing a proper plenum. The stock one whilst makes good power is a long long way from an optimum design (some of the runners are terrible) and is actually designed/tuned for a 4x4 auto redlining at 6000rpm. Plenty of gains seen by hoovers plenum in the states but it's $4k lol

To answer the original question, I went for injector dynamics over asnu and they were similar money to what tuxman paid.

I already have the coils ready to fit. They are proven on the noble and a massive step forward for the ignition side of things. exhaust is 3 inch from Turbo's back. With a quiet track mode and loud road mode on a button. i'm aware of the difficulties with the inlet Plenum but worst case scenario I can swap it back(a few quid wasted, but if you don't try these things you don't know). Im dubious about comparing BHP because 750 on some ones dyno could be 650 on another Dyno. and none of us with 600BHP and over use the same Dyno anymore. I am looking to get 700, but with the lowest amount of boost possible. And when its all done I will take it back to where it all started for most of us to get the BHP measured for my own comparison.
Will changing the ecu on your car make a difference to the power then Simon?
I thought you changed your ecu already from the standard? or is this another step up?

Great stuff mate , sounds like you have got plenty sorted !! Interested on you coil spec , I have a high boost misfire which I think is ignition related dut as of yet we have yet to find a coil that's better than the stock ones !!

Normal Noble mapping has in the past been done by TPS but this time round I'm having it properly mapped off manifold pressure along with various safety features and Flat shift !!
I agree on the variation on dyno settings but I think today the gaps are getting closer , Radical have a brand new industry approved Dyno room which has been tested by Ford to confirm its accuracy .
Nice to have it on my door step .

Yeah I'm sure that your car is safe with Radical!
The Guy that tuned my car could only push it so far as I had a boost related miss fire that was limiting my power.

Hi Andy, any particular reason why you went for Injector Dynamics? something that made you think they were the ones?
Cheers

Maniolfd pressure is the norm now, must admit I didn't even know the MBE was only based on TPS, does explain a lot

Be good to see what it does on the Syvec with some proper safety, flat shift is awesome but you will need a lighter clutch to make the most of it.

two reasons.

1. Id heard good things about them from top mappers I trust
2. The bloke on the ASNU stand at Autosport a few years back was less than helpful and quite deliberately put me off buying from them, as a result of that bloke I would never buy ASNU
