I get the jist, but I've got a sudden slope to drive down (1:5 maybe) before I even get to my garage. The slope is also "shared access" for my neighbours garages and I would still have a 30 yard walk to my garage from the slope, so dragging a sheet of wood around will get tiresome very quickly and leaving it in place is simply not an option.

Thanks for the suggestion but I think I'm going to have to look at the car for my solution, hence my reason for posting this subject in here in the first instance.

Phil - can you take a picture of it. If it's just a slope then attacking it at an "angle" will solve most things (I can easily get over 150mm speed humps doing that, even though the clearance is about 110mm). If you've ever been to Heathrow terminal 1 car park, then I can get around that quite easily - and that has some very very nasty slopes in it.

Do you have a dealer near to you? Most would be happy as part of a test drive to see if you can get it down the slope I would have thought...
