I spoke to the previous owner of my car today for a quick chat and he said he was missing the car - and will definately be geting another

he had tried a GT3 and found it rather dull and lifeless

did you sell and regret it ?

me me me me me - sold the M400 last year and regretted it ever since! Have put a deposit down on the M15 to try and aleviate the pain but the waiting until next spring for delivery isn't helping a lot. To compound the problem a friend picked his new F430 up last night and let me have a quick drive....

I've also driven the 430, and I have to admit that it's absolutely awesome. The friend who has one traded up from a 360 earlier in the year, and the step change in handling/performance is incredible. Saying that, I still prefer the M400 as a 'drivers' car. The main difference though is that at about 150, the 430 just keeps going....and going...!

To be honest I prefer the Noble. Sure, the F430 has the drama, the soundtrack etc. but it's just (IMHO) not involving in the same way the Noble is.... Saying that, if someone was to give me an F430 I'm sure I could live with it :-)

I don't regret it at all. Not even a little bit.

Looking forward to my second trackday in the CSL this weekend more than I've looked forward to a trackday in ages. It's a superb piece of kit!!

Am I to bring the video kit?

Not sure if I should insure the car for this one. I only get 4 TD's included with insurance. Bedford is pretty safe and I have already had a bump there, so I'm guessing that I'll be ok without. scratchchin

Yep, bring it. Should be able to get some funny footage if last time was anything to go by. I might buy one before Saturday too. There so cheap now...

If you can afford to repair or replace the car and not cry don't insure. Personally the cost of insurance is well worth it IMHO. I've heard of cars begin written off at Bedford. Doesn't have to be your fault. Someone could have a mechanical failure and take you out?

Worst case use up the trackdays and cancel the policy and move elsewhere.

Washie, it would be great if you had a bullet cam thingy too. Then the footage would all sync and it would be a case of just splacing between all the angles. We really need 4. One facing the car in front, one on the car infront facing the one behind, and one inside each. (plus some shots of them going past taken by someone else at side of track.

Ho hum..... back to reality!

Think you're right, I ought to insure it. Especially being on bald cut slicks! rolleyes

I can have extra days after my 4 are gone. Think they will be about £175 each day. (is that good?)

I won't be able to get a bullet cam by then. Not sure I can be arsed with one either. Will probably get the Canon Camera with the analogue in though just in case.

I think you have to divide what you pay across all track days for the year. i.e. do six days, pay for two, divide 350 by 6 = not bad!

175 is ok, but not great...

On the video camera front, I'm liking the look of these sony hard disk or other brand solid state recorders. Solid state would be particularly good in a car.

I tried my mates hard disk sony camera, they have a cut off built in. Every time I breaked even softly it cut out so I brought a tape camera and a bullet cam.
