Just saw a crumpled heap of a "new" GTO 3 in HR Owen's yard. Apparently, a laddie on a TEST DRIVE hurtled out of a roundabout a little too fast (70mph!) and ended up remodelling the back end - took the rear o/s wheel clean off too! Cost him his hefty insurance retainer!

The car looked tough though - it has to be said that nothing was compromised chassis-wise!

...ooops!

That's a second one isn't it ? I seem to recall their other demonstrator getting dinged a few months back. I drove it like an old lady on my demo a couple of years back !

3rd time I think. The current one had a minor ding a while back IIRC...

That may explain why the HR Owen website, now has no reference to the Noble in either the new car or the used car sections. Which it had on Thursday but not by last night. Oh what colour was the smashed demo by the way?

Portofino (light) blue? If so, then that's the same one that got smacked before Christmas (same story as well), so I would imagine they just haven't done anything with it.

Guysh, I see that you previoulsy ran a Loutus Exige and now have an M12 - I am interersted in an M12 for track days (with a suitable modified sump, of course!) - if you have tracked both, how would you compare the two experiences?

IMHO the Exige is not a patch on the noble - they are in a different class, also price range though...

Where the Exige scared the sh!t out of me in the wet - ie it would change ends at the drop of a hat and with very little warning, the Noble is very progressive and you can prempt spins etc. - this is much the same in the dry only at higher speeds. I did like the exige though it had alot of charchter and was great fun in it's own way. I will be interested to see what the S2 exige is like when it's born, although again in IMHO I do think that the S2 elise is a softer more relaxed ride the the S1 elise so I hope they don't do the same with the S2 exige.

As for factory support from Lotus - no existent...
Factoryu support from Noble - absolutly first class - although we do need to find a way of cloneing Lee hime self!!!
