Just heard a snippet from a very good source that Lee Noble has parted company with Noble Cars with immediate effect. Anyone heard anything else?

As long as he remembered to leave a note where he hid the keys to the parts dept., customer support dept. and workshops, then we'll all be OK laugh

Well it wouldn't be the first time Lee has fallen out with his business partners...

Hope it isn't the case.

I hope it is not true.

I guessed something was up at the factory due to all the silence over the past 12-18 months.

If it is true then it is a big seat to fill indeed.

What's the source of this info? Is it public knowledge, press release or anything to back it up at all?
Who are you with only 2 posts?

Usual form with "new owners"... retain original director(s) for a while to prevent him/ them starting another venture in direct competition.
I guess the new directors have no hold over/need of Mr Noble anymore.
So does this mean the "project" is in the bin or has been completed?
Assuming that the rumour is even close to true.
Over to Justin I guess?

If this has substance then it's great news! Clearly something's been up in barwell for some time. Lee Noble isn't a corporate man - he designs and builds damn fine sports cars and excels when left to this area of the business. Hoping his severance deal includes the rights to the M14-M15-MXX product. smile

I'm not...I want him to build an M400 mark II for under £60k.

Mike,
I'm not sure if this info is public knowledge yet (almost certainly isn't). I found out from someone close to the factory and I believe it to be true. A lot of the other information was opinion rather than fact and its not fair to repeat it here.

Forgot to mention - the new car is almost ready: been testing at Bruntingthorpe. Apparently clocked at over 190mph. So at least that looks like its going to happen at last.

I can't see how it is good in anyway. Could mean the company is now screwed so there goes your parts supply. Also means Lee is incapable of growing a business or working with others. Who's going to want to fund him after his history of falling out with financial backers? Who's going to want to buy his cars when there is evidence the company won't be around a few years later?

Actually, the most obstructive/destructive person in that company was probably Lee. It's almost certain that the current not great parts situation is down to him in some part. I'd say the company has a future. Let's face it Lee was a chassis/suspension/brakes man and that was all sorted on the new car a while ago.

On balance I'd say it's good news for the new car AND the original car owners.

Good luck to him in whatever he does next. He doesn't do boring projects!

I hate to have to continue being a bit 'cloak and dagger' but from what I've heard, a MAJOR part of the problem at Noble has now been solved.
