Hi Martin
Yes, job now done thanks. The unit cost £150 and labour to fit including welding in/making the essential Y piece £120. First fitment we attached valve to a flange on Y piece which was good but I thought it would be even louder if we could get valve on flange to rear box. So after having to burn old corroded bolts off, we simply changed valve to rear box flange which enables me to close off completley entry to box and so sounds awesome, without being over the top:-) I have a photo if you can tell me how to attach to forum? or just let me have a email address. Just out of interest, what did you do to yours? how loud is it and what sort of cost?

I was joking, mine has a race engine that revs to 8000 and a roush exhaust without cats.

are you interested in testing it on the Dyno open and closed to see if it makes any difference ?

where did you buy the valve from ?

I purchased valve from Nemesis in Bromsgrove and really enjoying the option of extra sound:-) Re Dyno day - Probably will one day but not a priority at the moment as I have quite a lot of other things going on.
Next on the list is a full Suspension/geometry set up, to make sure she stick to road with max. effect as I have noticed she is a little skitish on back end at high speed?

Can't see how it works from your pic?

Have you got two paths, one which doesn't go via the silencer?

The operation is from a switch by drivers seat, when I close valve it stops all exhaust gases going to rear box and diverts to new tail pipe from Y piece fitted:-) When the valve is open gases go to rear box and a few still go to new tail pipe which gives a little extra.
I have also made up a blanking pipe to fit into new tailpipe which can be fitted in a couple of seconds, just in case I ever want to divert all to back box again? I can't really think I would ever want to do that apart from perhaps MOT time? George

from the sounds of the pipework you have described - I suspect it may be more restrictive than the original system.

but you certainly get the option to turn the sound down !

Your missing the point somewhere, as I now have the option of double the outlet, standard system or anywhere in between that suits.
