And again yesterday... guessing he must be pretty local then - another Dorset Nob.

I bet his aircon wasn't working either hence why is doors were open hehe. On a serious note, up close on the fiat, there were a ton of stone chips already around the door area. We guessed it was because at lock the wheel would flick stones up the side of the door, this coupled with the paint being so thin. It looked pretty bad for a 4 day old car.

V1DL3R - I think you took a friend of mine,Russ, for a spin. He was helping out at the event. I'm in the process of buying and you passed on your advice to move my intakes for the noise. Assuming it was your car he went in, he was suitably impressed!

Great to meet you Steve!
Yes it was me on the way to Thruxton, and later Steve got to see her in her post-battle state - not so clean.
It rained slightly but that didn't phase the R888s at all on track. Broken exhaust to fix now thought frown
Steve, your car really is stunning. Very pleased to have another owner so close now.

John good to meet you and your son, you should be proud of your one, it really is in excellent shape. Let me know if you want a hand welding up the exhaust bracket, i've just done mine... Mine was clean, but like yours got hammered being used all day Sunday at Castle Combe, spotted two other really nice ones doing their bit for the kids, we raised £8K for Teenage Cancer Trust on the day. Catch you for a beer at the Keepers whenever you are passing. Cheers, Steve

Bugger. Missed that charity event at Coombe. Mine was doing its bit for kids there a couple of years ago.

Couldn't make last year and totally forgot to sort out for this year.

Well done to you and the others for taking part. Great charity event that.

Next year then... it's great fun and for a good cause. I love watching a 14 year old who is a better driver than me with a smile like a slice of melon having fun in my car. My son (17) did his advance driving test on the same day, got a F1rst with 27 excellents and 3 goods, he has been driving since he was 12 with the Under 17 car club. A great day all round, well worth a whole tank of V power....

70 TVR's had an invent in London early kick off on the Sunday morning and then 20 of us carried on to the Super car event.

Little bit blurred but thought you might like to see...
