Why are there two new 3Rs for sale in the classifieds section. As there is such a wait for a new one i thought these would be sold very quickly.Has anyone got the answers?

A good question! I'm hoping just something to do with the time of year - not the best time to go driving.

Maybe the cash buyers want a different colour combination?

Maybe also the fact that private sellers won't take part-exchange? If I wanted to upgrade my 3 for a 3R I expect I would have to go through a dealer.

I don't think the demand for 3R's is as high as Noble indicates. When I sold my 2.5 back to the dealer last August I was offered a significantly discounted deal on a new 3R! They weren't specific because I did'nt show interest but it looked to me as if they were very keen to shift them.

Incidentally, I hope you are wrong about the Gallardo. I have got one coming next week and was hoping to make a nice little profit on it! I drove one a couple of months back and was very impressed. Superb build quality, very quick, great noise. Excellent F1 sytle shift (surprisingly).

The premium may not be so high on Gallardo resale because I think Lamborghini production on this car is much higher than with the Murchielago, maybe they overestimated demand a little.

Can't really understand it though when there are biggish waiting lists for new vehicles.

So without wishing to be pedantic - which one do you actually believe?

Surely the dealers could offer these cars to customers that will be waiting until April/May for their factory orders to appear. This would then leave them months to take deposits on these cars and keep the flow going. There must be someone out there that has a titanium with black leather car on order and would like it sooner, provided that their deposit could be transfered from one car to another.I think that this attitude of loose your deposit will put off prospective genuine purchasers in the future. After all the wait from order to delivery can be a good while and life does tend to throw the odd spanner in the works.

You tell me?

Fact is these cars are depreciating pretty rapidly and not selling privately in my experience, so there's an issue somewhere!

Hello there,

Yes I was there on the Saturday. Enjoyed the blast down the mile straight (speedo read 280 KPH!)although didn'tlearn alot about the car from that Alpine route.

I've been promised my car the second week in Jan. (ordered it last Jan!) Black, e-gear with black leather, yellow calipers and stitching.

However all that aside i have not seen a 3R for sale privately yet.So it appears all those who have taken delivery an R like their cars and that must be around 80 by now.Is it the R"s that are making it dificult to sell the GTO and GTO3.Still dont explain the two new 3Rs for sale other than the weather.Who has got the highest build number at the moment and when is it due, that would be interesting?

I was surprised they allowed us to blast down that mile straight, no helmets or nothing!

I thought the intructor had forgotten to tell me to brake as I could see that banked bend approaching rather quickly! luckily the brakes were superb.

I let you know what I think of the car when I get it

That's great! hopefully mine should be ready to pick up pretty much at the same time. I wasn't intending to sell it immediately. Depends what I think of the car when I've driven it for a few weeks. I was really hoping to keep it till spring or early summer but also depends how the premiums are looking!

Excuse me for saying, but it's people like this that really PI.S me off hoping to make a quick buck, rather than buying the car (or cars) for what they are really about. Happy New Year and I hope you get truly STUFFED.

Cheers,
Ian.

Sounds like a little bit of jelousy from someone that can't afford one!

Kinetic - 3rtt has had one for quite some time - so no jealously there me thinks...

I very very much doubt if you'll get a premium on one - even when they had 14 month waits I picked my unregistered one up for just under list all in....

I think you'll find 3rtt has a 3R himself !

What he's saying is that he doesn't like people who trade cars to the detriment of the marque and other owners.
