This is to 3R owners, or those with one on order:

1) Was anyone informed of a base price increase and, if so, how where you informed?

2) What were you informed about the inclusion of the 6-speed gearbox and LSD as standard, and the effect of this on the base price?

Thanks

Marlon

Sour grapes or do you have a valid point to make that hasn't been done to death already? Let's leave the factory to conduct 'marker surveys', and not dwell on all this pricing nonsense - its getting a bit boring.

Yes very "boring", particularily as the factory have made the six speed gearbox cheaper for those with an R on order !

Was informed that the price has changed because the 6-speed gearbox was going to be included as standard since everyone ordered it.

Good news for me since that meant that the actual price was cheaper than the original with the optional 6-speed.

Thanks for your replies but none of you have answered either question! As for being "done to death", I must have missed those posts then!

Thanks Justin. My point, isn't quite the same as that discussed in previous postings - I was told in writing by the factory that they were bundling in the 6-speed gearbox at "no cost to me" (not true as I found out later). So I thought - nice one teaboy, a saving of some £1650 due to standardisation!

However, they failed to inform me that they increased the base price by £1000 (even though I've written agreement to purchase at £51,500 base) to offset some of this cost. So come the day to look at the sums I was surprised to see that I will need the £1000 I thought I had saved. Sure I'm better off by £650 but this was not what they told me - this was my point.

I would be interested in knowing if and when any 3R owners were told of the price increase?

I'm sure I remember somewhere that aprice increase was menetioned (can't remember where though which is not much help) However where you told by the factory or your dealer (I would of thought it should have been the latter as they are selling you the car not the factory).

Rob - I presume it's down to what your deposit T&C's say. Check your documentation - it should cover price changes in there and what your rights are, but if you are £650 better off than when you ordered the car you should be complaining too much - if you shout too loud they might want to sell you the car at the (old) list!

... hmmm, I thought of that too but I bet now that the 6 is standard it'll cost more to put a 5 in (BTW, I don't really want a 5)! :-)

Better hope Lee doesn't see this thread then - he might just do it "for the challenge" - LOL!
