I watched it yesterday. It was nice to see Phil Bennett with nothing but praise for the Noble (and he didn't think much of the Viper).
The show was a half hour of talking about the cars. The owner from each 'corner' would say why they loved the car and what was great about it, and then the pannel would debate for a bit about the merits and shorcommings of each car.
In the end they decided which was better without driving either. Conclusive? Hmmmmmmmm...
Phil Bennett loved the car when he was giving hot rides around Rockingham (just wished he'd keep his eyes on the track though) but he REALLY loved the M400!.
Martin.
I've got a video of him at the wheel - it was posted up here some time ago.
Superb driver!
I watched it last night and I must say thought the format was a little lacking, too much talking and not enough driving. The biggest disapointment for me was that you didnt get to hear the cars going around the track, it was dubbed over with some other cars acceleration quietly in the background!!! These are two superb cars and their presence and engine noise is what they are all about, why dub over the best soundtrack???? Hopefully this is just the first episode and they will change it, hopefully or the only people that will watch it are the people that are in it!!!

Yes I noticed that the engine sound dubbed over the Noble wasn't even a V6 soundtrack.
Yes like you say the sound they dubbed on wasnt even a nice engine note! I have spoken to the producer he said we are not the first to mention this and they intend to change it. I hope so as I am due to film for the show next week and I have a TVR so I want to be heard..........!

Saw this last night...
What a crock! It sounded as though only one of the 'panel' had driven either of them- Phil, and he preferred the Noble. While the guy on the right, kept saying stuff like; "well I've sat in it... and I don't reckon...."
HOW THE BABY JESUS ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO RATE CARS LIKE THAT WITHOUT DRIVING THEM. Its like awarding Masterchef on their choice of ingredients!
Well done Goodlife, for staying sane in the face of such madness!
Yours bemused
