The adaptive lights are very effective. When it’s dark enough you can see the pixels dimming where needed.

Didn’t know you could share from google map as that’s cool. I assume you need the Tesla app on that device though?
Yes.
Also, just have wherever you need to go in your calendar, you can sync it to your car and you'd never have to search for a location in the car again.

We've been using both a lot and it's really a great functionality. Whenever I use another car it's the first thing that reminds me how far Tesla is ahead software wise.

When my wife's copiloting on holidays, she used the "share location with Tesla app" all the time.

Not sure I’ve got this update yet.
It seems to be rolling out quite quickly now. I was surprised to see it so soon after getting the car.

It’s been a standard feature on lots of cars for many years, if you had the BMW connected car app you could do it for about the last 15 years. Not taking away how useful the feature is, just that it’s been around for some time, and you can do it from anywhere you can share a location, so Apple Maps can do it too

If you have addresses against phone contacts, you can also use them

The video covers 4 different ways

That’s it. I’ve had enough. Twice, I’ve tried it now, and I cannot get this awesome looking feature to work! You know the one: the colouriser.

No matter how beautiful a shade of matte purple I select on the screen, my car resolutely remains white. grumpy

Just popped out to pick my son up from the gym which is a 4min drive door to door. Had one Tesla behind me and passed two coming towards me. I was blinded by all three. Don’t know if they’d had the update wobble

Not uncommon for the dipped beam to be too high. People either don't know how to fix it or don't care. Probably the latter nowadays ("if I can see well that's all that matters").

First trip out with it today and had the carseat in the back with the little ones, using isofix, but the weightpad was activated and as such the no seatbelt bong was going off constantly.

No previous car has done this, so is there a fix (apart from putting the seatbelt on behind the car seat)?

"To disable the reminder, touch the associated seat on the seat belt reminder popup message that displays on the touchscreen when a seat belt reminder is active. When a reminder is disabled, the seat belt reminder icon is replaced by a seat icon, for the current drive only."

Can’t you adjust it on the Tesla? I understand you might be able for each drive but it’s not an obvious setting to me.

Either way is it correct that the new software update fixes this? I don’t think I’ve got he update yet I’m on 2024.2.8

Has anyone had a tyre changed?

Apparently there's a massive shortage of the exact spec tyre that goes on the model Y

The parts supply is a huge issue. Would put me off buying again tbh

You can yes. It’s in Service —-> calibrate lights (I think)

It’s one Hankook model that has foam in. There are plenty of other options that are available though.

You can fit any tyre that’s the correct size and rating for the car.

You can put any correctly sized tyre on of the correct weight rating. I've changed mine without acoustic foam and it doesn't make any difference at all.

Parts supply for many cars is an issue for all sorts of reasons. It wouldn't 'put me off' buying a particular marque.

Just changed all 4 with OEM and just a one day wait at my local. Tesla quoted too, but were more expensive.

If you get a vibration after the OEM’s are swapped for new ones, the foam inner noise reducer can come adrift. Have had two with a flutter around 60mph. These were changed by Tesla under warranty.

Does anyone else's boot not open all the way?

If I pop the boot, it will automatically open, and stops, but it stops at the perfect head hitting height, however it will then go a fair bit higher if I manually push it.

Any way of setting this to open fully as standard?
