It looks like something knocked up in someone’s shed but I’ve seen a few YouTube videos of the prototype out and about and the yanks seem to be going crazy over it judging by the comments.

It will sell by the bucket load over there.
My first thought too.

If that was a thumbnail for a Rich Rebuilds or B is for Build video I wouldn't have batted an eyelid.

I can't decide if its a case of the likes of Tesla and Apple could sell some people an actual turd rolled in glitter and there would be people having trouser accidents or it's a genius visionary move.

That really does look even more abysmal out in the wild.

Also... how does this pass any tests for pedestrian safety or other Construction & Use regulations that exist in the US?

I wonder if people will pull out, after they clear the deposits I'll be interested to see how many more they sell. I doubt it will be a good truck.

When you have an egotistic design a product it will fail. Think Trump and his awful product lines.

It is a joke, people that buy it are idiots, but finally it makes it easier to identify them now.

Those tyres are, um, interesting? Standard or proto for the truck? Never seen tread like that before.

Musk has already stated that it won't meet european regs in half a dozen areas, but they might think about making a smaller/alternative for the UK market.

As for taking deposits, they took £175k advanced orders for the Roadster 2 from some people nearly 5 years ago and there's still no sign of that. Tesla really don't if people are gullable, but some just like to see a picture of it on their Tesla app.
