Does anybody have details of the mailing list where Toyota will be releasing information about the new GR Yaris sales coming up in March? I can't seem to find it.

The new GRY is about the only thing that will tempt me out of my 17' STI. The idea of adaptive cruise control, Toyota reliability and easy parking appeals to me.

BTW Does anybody know if the GRY is compatible with the Scooby aftermarket genital vacuum attachment...? spin

The adaptive cruise control is rubbish (IMO!), I've turned it off. I also find it harder to park than my massive S-Class Merc as you can't see any of the corners, or anything of note over your shoulder. Plus the cost of the wheels, itching to be kerbed biggrin

Don’t have a problem with adaptive works done gets me home on a commute with minimal fuss.

I find it really easy to park too!

Adaptive cruise is great and one of the better systems currently out there.

No issues parking and as the other poster it’s very easy.

Toyota are in the money making game and there is simply no way they will limit the amount of UK units to below that of a country like France where the OTR is double ours.

You do realise that more than half of that OTR is tax, yes? And that Toyota don’t get any of that because it goes to the French treasury?

The actual cost of the car will be pretty much the same as in the UK, as with the mk1.

Really? I find it dim-witted, jerky, and borderline dangerous in some situations.

Every other car I’ve driven with adaptive cruise has been far superior.

Its not as good as the system on my Audi but I find it works fine 99% of the time, only issue is when cars are parked on the pavement. I get why it cuts out below 20mph in the Yaris (manual gearbox) but I dont understand why it does the same on my Dads lexus.

I have only tried to use the adaptive cruise on motorways and I dislike it, unless in very solid traffic. I usually use standard (non radar) cruise - long press on the button. Cruise is not available with other driver assistant systems off - mildly irritating when hitting an average speed camera section on a B road.

What I mean is that at that price the demand in France won’t be as high as here, so they’ll give us a larger allocation as they’ll be easier to sell.

Polish brochure with spec and price list went online today:

link to pdf

Puts an auto in red with the premium pack at ~£48.5k with todays exchange rate. Base manual at ~£42.5k.

I dont know what the prices of the last model there was but pretty consistent with other European prices.

Just seen that, looks awesome.

That livery is a proper statement of intent.

Hopefully in a position to scratch this itch in the next month or two. Looking at Autotrader there's now around 180 for sale on there starting at about £25k for an early higher miles car. With so many for sale at various price points, I wonder where the sweet spot is regarding mileage and price?

The WBAC value for my car is £25K. Its 3 years old and has done 11K. I was offered £26.5K as a trade in against my Cayman so that gives you an idea of actual values. I'm not selling it though as I love it. The thing to look out for is cars that have been modded. There are so many cars that got bought and then had loads of unnecessary mods done before even driving them and then get sold quickly. Exhausts/wheels are easy to put right but body work, chassis, engine mods would bother me.

The white paintwork hides stone chips really well. I've seen red and black cars that don't look that great under close inspection so a car that has had PPF to the front and along the sills is a plus.
