Sweden here, I just got a recall notice today.

Interestingly, up here we only got the previous fuel pump recall in May last year, with an 'OTS reference' (whatever that is) of 0DHL. The new recall notice has a reference of 0E6D. By then, it'd already been established that the replacements were duff. At the time, I wrote in this thread:

A few weeks ago (i.e., May 2023), a letter arrived from France and lo and behold — fuel pump recall! It got a new pump a couple of weeks ago and some form of ECU reprogramming to go with it. The part number for the new pump was the same part number as the pump being fitted as part of the original recall in the UK.

Now I'm nervous I've got a duff one — we're driving down to Germany for a holiday before going to Spa for the F1 race in July… I hope it survives!
I ended up buying extra breakdown cover to cover the trip, but it ended up being fine.

This new recall is hopefully the newest of the new like everyone else. Two fuel pumps within a year!
Hi iKenndac,

Perhaps you could play "devil's advocate" with your dealer and ask their service department why there is 2nd recall for your fuel pump, and what "specifically" is different about the new one c.f. to the replaced fuel pump you already have?
My service department is either playing dumb (or they just are) but I'm getting nothing intelligent from them to reassure me that the fuel pump replacement is indeed the "lastest and greatest" version..... Thanks.

M.

I also have received the reference ID# of OTS 0E6D within the recall service letter sent to me.

Mine's booked in for Thursday next week. I can certainly ask for the part numbers.

Asking for differences might be tricky - the Swedish dealership chain that had Renault/Dacia/Alpine dumped all Renault products a few months ago (apparently because they got so sick of Renualt's parts logistics problems they decided it wasn't worth the trouble) and it got picked up by a different one. I think the Alpine sales guy from my local dealer made the move too, but I'm not sure about the service techs. Long story short - I'm not sure they're going to have any idea about things that happened before they took over.

I have had the email today, car is just 4yrs old and I thought had been done already, regardless of that I've booked it in next week to have the work done. Timing worked well for a service also... however Alpine's quote for 4yr service is £936inc of the dreaded so I am considering options on this !!

£936? That's stiff! Is there anything special about the 4 year service c.f. a 2 year or 3 year service which warrants such a quote?

Simon, no need to reply - just read your Service Costs update. I feel your pain! Those quotes for air and cabin filters are a bit much I have to say.

Maybe best book it in for replacement does anyone know how long it takes to replace a pump?

That's interesting information. It seems like the new dealer is Hedin Bil and they have Alpine dealers in Malmö and Göteborg. So, no dealer in Stockholm as far as I can see?

I think around November 22 is when the latest fuel pumps started to be fitted.

If you've been issued a recall then have it replaced, you may also be due a software upgrade too, although most cars just have the pump.

The job takes around 1.5hrs.

I also have a recall email with ref OE6D. I have a service booked at Orpington on 6th Feb anyway, so will try and combine the two.

Their website is wrong/outdated - there is indeed one in Stockholm (just down the road from me, which is handy). I don't think everything's all set up properly yet. I'll find out on Thursday!

I've just booked my car in, but the service desk says the recall is for a fuel level sensor, not a pump. The email specifically mentions a fuel pump...

It would be interesting to hear your experiences on the new Stockholm dealer/service once you've used them since Stockholm is the nearest dealer to me also.

Is there a way to check that the replacement fuel pump type is indeed the "final tried and tested" variant apparently now fitted to all A110's since November 2022? And not a variant which Alpine used previously, and which also failed...!

On the recall order I received the following part numbers which will be used:

- 6020019628 - fuel pump
- 7701207449 - tank vlotter ring

M.
I had my fuel pump replaced in March 2023 with the same part numbers (plus a reprogram of the injection computer).
My dealer Martin's assured me that this is the final version.
Interestingly although replaced because it failed in use, the warranty invoice actually states it is a fuel pump recall - so I think you are OK if you have this part number fitted.
Fingers crossed!

Their systems aren't joined up then - I had one last summer (ie summer 23) under warranty but I've still had a recall for yet another.

This in response to my query further down. Sigh.

Good afternoon Mr Robertson,

Thank you for your recent e-mail.

I can confirm that our technical team is yet working on issuing the fuel pump recalls on Alpines.

I can confirm that you will be notified whether your Alpine needs the recall or not before April.

I will monitor our internal systems and will keep you updated on the potential recall.

I will contact you within two weeks with further confirmation.

Best regards,

Wasim Choudary
Executive
Alpine UK

Hi Wasim,

Following our conversation last month regarding fuel pumps and my incorrect email address, I read with interest on Pistonheads internet forum that owners are now receiving recall notices for their fuel pumps.

As my car is a 2020 year car and seemingly of the period where failures seem more common - is there any more reassurance you can give that my car either is or is not fitted with a fuel pump subject to a recall?

I leave for a tour of France in early April and am concerned after reading the experiences of others.

Many thanks

Is your recall for pump replacement or just software update?

Fuel pump (specifically mentioned in the recall email). And it's interesting it is recall - the first time it was "service campaign" so I only found out when booking it in for a service.
