fuel pump fails in current production

Sounds indeed like the fuel pump - the good news is the latest FP used since November 2022 appears to be now reliable. You're eligible for a replacement. The bad news is you'll lose the TRS map with the s/w flash. But you might be able to retain the K-tec transmission map though?
Knowing that the fuel pump replacement might require a reflash, I held off on a Life110 remap. However I did ask David the question what would happen if they did reflash. His reply was that I would "own" the remap and therefore it would be reinstalled. Not sure whether there would be a modest charge - and it would be a significantly inconvenient - but somewhat reassuring nevertheless. As I said previously it turn out to be a non-event since my car did not need a reflash when the pump was fitted.bcr5784 said:

Thanks for the clarification, good to know!bcr5784 said:

The interesting question to ask any remappers is - if it's reflashed back to a (presumably older) map after the new fuel pump is fitted, wouldn't you therefore be missing out on any changes that Alpine deemed appropriate that go hand-in-hand with the new fuel pump?Meonstoke said:

Thanks Meonstoke, I cannot remember if Wasim is at customer services Renault, or Alpine. I need to get this sorted ASAP as I have another upcoming track day at Donington on May 3rd. I really can't do with that being yet another expensive waste. neil-g8km6 said:

Neil - I sympathise, I had exactly the same at Spa last Friday. We managed to get home. It’s booked at John Banks Cambridge on Friday 12th April. I hope you manage to get yours booked in soon. James. This fuel pump replacement/recall work on my A110 was done by Alpine Antwerpen earlier this week when the car was there for regular service.
They also did other recall for the car, of which the id was 0dx0 and the Dutch language description says something about recall being related to transmission. Anybody know what this recall is about?

My PE had a software update as well as the pump, I was told it related to the fuel injection system but it wiped my remap. Afterwards when the car was taken back to the tunners, they told me that Alpine had installed a completely new map and was different in such a way to the cars original, it was now not compatible to the tuned file.
The car will have to spend another day on the Dyno to create a new tuned file.
