I have loads of sound deadening in my Vito, but that really is a rattly, acoustic nightmare!

Thanks guys. The neoprene was 4mm or so. Probably just as easy to use a piece of c/f?

To be honest it is a very easy car to do the doors on - just remove the screws and pop it off the clips using a big flat blade screwdriver wrapped in plenty of insulation tape so you don’t scratch anything. Start at the bottom, under the speaker. Nothing breaks and all the clips are reusable. Very straightforward.

Thing is we have just done a software release for a new DSP this week so now I’ve got that itch “how good would it sound if I fitted this” - it’s just the usual audio nightmare when you can’t stop

Fascinating thread, thank you Julian for your contributions. Please keep us posted if you develop a kit of any sort; this is now on my todo list.

I had a GT as a courtesy car whilst mine was in for service/ fuel pump recall, and I was pleasantly surprised how much better the full sound package was when in the move. Audio improvements are now on the forefront of my mind. I was spoilt by an excellent system in my old Lexus, so I’d like to get closer and the ability to manage slightly higher volume without additional ‘noise’ in the system would be great.

For those wondering about speccing their car, the full sound package is definitely an improvement and these tweaks should help further still.
