Which PH'ers have placed a deposit on an Emira?

You can't feel power, you can only feel torque. F=MA and all that
You can't feel either of them. What you feel is the change in velocity that the force produces. And anyway it's semantics, given horsepower is a calculated figure based on torque at a certain engine speed. You can get the same figure by reducing one and increasing the other.BertBert said:

someone must have had one on a rolling road by now, surely?
yes they have Bert, see here... https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/v6-fe-dyno-resu...400hp should be pretty spritely. I always said this would be perfect with 500, but 400 shouldn't be slow. Whilst great handling is important, sports cars still need a bit of straight line exhilaration.

Interesting thread. Didn't make much on the Litchfield Dyno, which seems to be closer to everyone's opinion.

While 388 on the Litchfield dyno isn't great - neither is it that bad given it was on 97 octane fuel - well within the DIN 5% tolerance.400hp should be pretty spritely. On the 6th of July I got a good news email to say my i4 was going into build in August. Two months later and today's email says it is going into build in October. Might be ready for delivery in the spring at this rate!
ETA: I thought I'd try the Lotus CS chat to see the score re test drives. They know nothing. Completely useless! Asked what they can help with and he said they can help with order updates and the order process. I asked when it was going to be delivered. He said built this month, and delivered Oct or Nov.
Laughable!

The dealers don't know either... I've been promised availability I think every month for the past year and still nothing... it's hopeless.ETA: I thought I'd try the Lotus CS chat to see the score re test drives. They know nothing. Cars are found to depreciate shocker
I think a lot of people thought this car could be flipped for profit. If you are buying to enjoy the car, then that's totally different the cost of £15k is easily justifiable. Expecting overs is a mugs game.

69k now makes all the others look well over priced. So many recalls for a new car!

Speaking of recalls... Since I had recall work done on 1st September, my Emira has decided it only wants to start about two times out of three attempts. The electrics all wake up and the air conditioning immediately starts blowing hard, but the starter motor doesn't engage unless I lock the whole thing up then unlock it and try a few times until it starts. I tried contacting B&C service three times over the last two weeks but it always goes to answerphone and they never call me back. If I had more time to waste I'd try leaving messages more often.Anyone else having the same problem since the recall and software update?

Strueth! My 22 year old Ferrari is better than that. Never had that sort of issue with either of the Evoras. Anyone else having the same problem since the recall and software update?

There was the Evora issue where it went into limp mode. Most commonly caused by the faulty switch on the brake pedal. Took 3 visits to B&C service for me to get it fixed as it ended up being some dodge wiring somewhere in the ABS electronics. I didn't find the B&C service comms all that good. There was only one Lotus service advisor type guy (and probably only one McL one as well). That was before Lotus stopped production of all the legacy models, so I can't imaging it's got a higher staffing level now blueg33 said:

Noticed that the number of Emira for sale on auto trader has dropped to 52 today I guess this signals an end to the flipping and possibly nearing completion of the UK production for the initial orders for V6 cars. Low 70s could also be a sweet spot for achieving a sale. Even with all the problems and the bad press built up I do feel the I4 will be a bit more of a success if they ever start deliveries!
