I have since been outbid, it was a cheeky bid but clearly not that bad as I was the highest at the auction closed.
Have a look at the but it now...are we in? Also noticed around 20 Emiras have gone off AT just this week.

Did it come off that one or are they just kicking the tyres?
Looks like the one I wanted sold (shows to have been sold just under £60k), still a few manuals available for just over 60k buy it now that they will probably take an offer on. No doubt there will be more next month.I emailed a few owners who were selling. None of them seemed particularly motivated to sell. I don’t get the feeling there are lots of owners “desperate” to sell their cars. As result, prices seem to have settled. If there were going to be big drops,
Surely we’d have seen it happen before Xmas?

I’ve heard a number of troubling stories about folk who have worked for Lotus, in some cases for decades, walking away, as result of changes and the current regime

I wonder if some of the more fundamental problems are due to people who have been there decades who really should leave.
It’s probably a bit of both to be honest. There will be some long term staff who will be resistant to change but also some who are appalled at what’s happening and being ignored.
The Emira is the last production car to be made at Hethel so once the face-lifted model has run it’s course, that will be it for home-built product.
Although given how delayed everything has been so far, that should mean the production line closing around 2060

20 of the 56 used cars (with more than 100 miles) are £70k or less.
Prices of used cars are coming down (increase from one quarter to one third being £70k or less)
Just for a bit of balance if anyone is reading about the faults and issues with the Emira which have played no small part in the market for them...my 2500 mile old GT4 has come up with a dynamic engine mount fault over the weekend. Cant get into Porsche for nearly 2 weeks for it to be looked at so its not just Lotus with issues!
