That’s for sale by one guy. Perhaps a motivated seller. There aren’t any others for sale at that level.
A motivated seller would have already punted to the trade for low 60's at best. This person is trying their luck to get a better price, and thus setting the current low point for the market.

I don’t think trade are buying these at low £60’s. There’s a constant, discounted new supply.

Is WBAC are only at mid forties I'd imagine it would be a struggle to get more than fifty from a Lotus Dealer.

These are going to absolutely tank in value.

Won't be long before they are mid sixties at this rate.

Cheapest is already 69k and with all cars being first edition other than colour and suspension options there's not much to pick between them.
Nope, cheapest is now £66,995!
How low can they go by January?

The naysayers are straight out with it's only one car, but if the market was peachy it wouldn't have gone this low already.... Or would have sold already....

Just to point out webuyanycar are offering massively below retail on all high end cars at the moment. Put in any new-ish Porsche etc and you will see similar offers. If the Emira is tanking, almost everything else is too.

You seem to be quite correct. In the interest of balance I tried Motorway - these are an estimate and I didn't achieve what they suggested I would when I sold my GR Yaris in March - seems to be a bit of a bait. That said, look at the difference between wbac above and motorway's estimate...

That’s an over optimistic bid to get you to list with them. No lotus dealer is buying a used Emira with a price starting with a 6

All motorway quotes knock 15% off and you'll arrive at the point where dealers might be interested

Looks like I could get (or reasonably ask for) no less - perhaps more - for my 3 year old Exige 410 that I would for a FE Emira. Counter intuitive, and surely not what Lotus themselves would expect. Not that I’m selling the 410.

993 reached price parity with the newer 996, 997 and latterly 991. They don’t make Exige anymore so if you want one of the last cars your only route to buy is used.
Emira’s are still being made and it seems that supply has outstripped demand.

Interesting, the engine cover has been painted, there was a guy on one of the FB forums who did this, maybe it's his?

I am surprised that people are surprised by this.
Feel sorry for genuine people who will take a bath on these

Do we think it's worse than other new sports cars at the moment?

Absolutely not but to be frank too many were acting like the emira was the next phenomenon and this wouldn’t happen to it. Either that or they thought that the price action was going to be the “new normal” for everything.

I think it was the latter applied to the Emira

I've been following a Taycan valuation on WBAC since 22nd August.

Looks like a very expensive way of driving around!

That does look nice. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/2023081307...

However, just looked it up on wbac to see how risky that might me if you might want out. This may not be representative, but oh my!!!

Is it just me that thinks the interior is a bit low rent for a car of this value? The door arm support box section looks absolutely atrocious and rather ‘diy shed build’ to my eyes. Given the mileage the seat leather / controls / plastic look worn already. Such a shame because these could have been such a good thing for Lotus.
