OPC finance rates have always been set by VWFS, on new Taycans at the moment it is set to 11.4% APR

MG are advertising 0% finance on their stock .... Tesla reduced their prices by 20% to shift stock. According to What Car, both are more reliable than the Taycan.

Ive taken a £40k hit in the past 8 months of ownership (its a great car by the way) but Im fking loving how Porsche are facing the heat. Arrogant bunch of pricks at the dealership for a very long time acting as if we needed them more than they need us.

Same guy who used to tell me I was lucky to have an allocation now offering me multiple cars at 10% off whilst I pull his balls asking for 0% finance too and a free service plan. biglaugh
There's a YouTuber who's lost just shy of £80k in just over two years, including an £11.5k hit last month alone.....car's worth £40500 and he owes over £77k on finance OUCH!!! After my dealings with Porsche in the past I'm loving it!

I just can't understand why Porsche don't subsidise their sale with low cost finance to clear them.

For those in the know (customers comparing alternatives etc) the Taycan is currently a very expensive option and a luxury that ever fewer people can afford or really need.

Of course there will always be some sales but how long will the current stock take to clear ?
I think it’s because Porsche view it as the OPC’s problem right now. Everyone saw this coming it seems except the OPC’s who managed to get their used inventory’s at record levels just as the market went in to reverse.

Admittedly that is not why they have so many new cars but it shows that OPC’s need to take some responsibility too.
It's the OPC's who are taking a beating on this ... I have heard that each is going to have to take another 15 Taycans from Porsche this month!

Well in the next few days a little trip to my local OPC just to see how desperate they are to sell me a new one, I will report my findings to the collective.

They're supposed to sell about 500 a month so that sounds about right....

I think that depends on the dealership size. My smaller UK Porsche dealer sells around 320 cars a year and the DP has told me he needs to sell/register 4 more Taycan to meet his annual targets. If they don’t meet their target before year end they will register what remains and use them as service / loan cars etc. so I suspect someone walking in to buy a Taycan between now and year end will get a cracking deal……

Well I am trying to but a Taycan ST (nearly new) and while discounts look good against rrp (as per latest price rise), most dealers aren't blinking yet and don't seem that keen to haggle down much from advertised price. The best deals are on nearly new Turbos - but still bloody expensive as most are very highly specced with stuff I don't need. There is a 30k spread between trade and retail on many Taycans based on my calls this week.

Sitting on my hands for now.

I was wondering the same. :-D I'm looking for an EV; the Taycan is towards the top of the list and a discount would make it easier to make purchase.

Right sorry I have been very busy with work.

So I did the deal on a new Taycan Sport Torismo GTS.

List was £123,430.00 and I paid £106,400.00 so £17k off the list price.

I also had a PX which was a late 73 plate Macan GTS which all the on line valuation sites valued at £58500.

The dealership first offered £70k for the car and we eventually agreed a price of £74k in PX along with £17k off the car.

It was a factory fresh car and had literally been delivered to the OPC two days before I took delivery.

I must say Mid Sussex OPC were a pleasure to deal with, I have never driven a Taycan before driving it out of the dealership, it is an absolutely lovely car to drive, I’m so glad I bought it and it’s an absolute weapon when you want it to be.

So money were my mouth is I bought one lol.

I do wonder if the large stock of unsold new Taycans is a result of over manufacture or order cancellations due to the interest rate squeeze?
For me the only reason I cancelled my CT order.

If they did 5.9% I’d be back in the dealer revisiting the car - now they are dropping to around £80k (v new) again for me it’s the best performance for Porsche buck I have experienced.

I did the Porsche Exp Centre and was blown away (but that car had the heater failure).

I’m in a 1 year old Macan at the moment but one other issue may be the cost of insurance now.
I only pay £600 a year for my insurance.

I have a Mini EV and it charges every night and is warm and ready to go each morning - quick car and zippy.
It’s a superb car.

Back into Taycan - come on Porsche let’s do a better APR! Every other main manufacturer is doing that.

That is lovely!!

I’d be interested to know what they will sell your Macan GTS for. Im guessing that was a £85-£95k car so it’s taken a bit of a hit. I was offered £46500 against retail cost of £70k on mine and for me that was a kick in the nuts.
I’m guessing Macan sell much better than Taycan right now.

For a brand new one it's a decent enough price.

I like silver, but not sure how popular it is.

The interior isn't "GTS" which will put some off (it would me. Especially the silver trims).

No piano roof (showstopper for me).

No 2+1 seats (showstopper for me).

But the price is good.

Agree on the spec but I think there'll be plenty more in the not too distant future
