ULEZ is not about climate change, its about human health, its estimated 22k people die each year due to poor air quality and particulates.
Err, its a tax designed to raise revenue to help pay for the nearly bankrupt TFL.
Err, it’s a conservative policy from when Boris was mayor.

The way prices have gone over the last 6 months, nothing compares to the Taycan for me.
Maybe in the summer, not in the winter!
Why ?

If you mean range drop, on my turbo at worst it goes from 240 to 210, always been the same and its a real 240 or 210

Having said I have just had another update and its now 260 as of this morning!

Phib
You must have a special one then. In winter, on the motorway, doing 65, with the heater on I got 145 miles of actual range from my 4S with big battery. Which effectively rendered the car useless.

In fact I don’t know anybody who got a real world winter range anywhere near 200

Wow 145 would certainly have put me off !!

We have three a 4's big battery and two Turbo's which have always been 200+ miles with heated everything on!!

They have all been driven very spiritedly since day one .... maybe that makes a difference !!!

Is that over 200 in the deep of winter?

How deep is the winter in Monaco?

My wife is quite taken with the Turismo in the metallic pink colour. Desperately trying not to buy a Tesla.

This was Feb (so not too warm in Uk this year !) 2.7 x93.4 kWh battery = 250 miles

Do you have an ex press car perhaps? Don't know anyone with range like that last winter.

No….. but it’s probably been driven like one !!

All joking aside this may be the answer to why it’s always been good, that coupled with the fact I believe it’s now Porsche Guildford’s 2nd highest mileage Taycan.

I think re winter and in fact most of the time it seems to vary a fair bit car to car, bigger wheels and Especially CT body shape seem to have a big impact.
Mine this morning is looking good for my 200 mile strip home

It’s definitely a thing, bigger wheels etc. With EV s putting range to the forefront of people’s minds has reminded us all of the impacts of different body kits, wheels and general drag. I think with ICE cars people just tuned out of these considerations.

People with ICE cars don’t worry about it as much because range is not as important/crucial given the infrastructure that supports their journey’s is less problematic.

People worry about MPG obviously when buying ICE cars, Miles per KWh is the equivalent for EV’s but it is not a statistic you see quoted very much. Which is a bit odd as the driving force of EV’s is about protecting the environment but the statistic that people concentrate on doesn’t tell you anything about how efficient and environmentally friendly they are ! I guess that is because manufacturers have used range and 0-60 as the key metrics for sales ?

Indeed. MpKWh should be quoted more. It's what most owners are most interested in

This would be a good guide if it was subject to the same WLTP cycle that ICE cars are then quoted as a miles per kw figure.

From what I can work out there seems to be five types of pricing :

1. New cars very small discount if its physical
2. Porsche who have used cars on site , aim high and then drop by chunks every two weeks until they get sold especially ST
3. Non Porsche dealers who have had them 6 + months and are in denial and in may cases are priced higher than Porsche main dealers
4. Private individuals that need to sell and our sensible
5. Private individuals that are in big negative equity but till belive their car is worth a fortune becease when they bought it they were paying overs!!

Hence the prices for the same model, spec and age can vary massively even though there really is no difference !

Just my 2p worth !!

Phib
You seem bang on.

Some keenly priced private cars, but most buyers prefer to buy off a dealer with £60k plus cars that aren’t in short supply.

I assumed 99% of Taycans would be business leases, but there are quite a few for sale privately on AT.

I usually prefer to buy used cars privately but I’m not sure I’m brave enough with a Taycan. OPC for piece of mind seems the best bet.
