We would all like to know what the initial response has been (company verses private). Like most I've been disappointed in the initial pricing of these and with the Ghost of Taycan residuals I am keeping my powder dry which is a shame since my current daily is on its last legs. Now looking at probably 2026 as a date when I will privately buy (obviously pre-owned)!

I've ordered one and will probably run it personally. Hopefully Ionity will get a move on and start installing more chargers across the country!!

I’ve got a deposit down on one and would be buying via our Ltd company but even so I’m not sure it makes much financial sense. For our use, it may be better to get a used Taycan ST but will wait until the Macan is available to test before making a decision.

Had a letter from Porsche today offering a very poor APR and Luke warm residual deal on an Emacan

I think they will need to have some kind of incentives going on to really move these cars an 10.9% is not it!

Still interested to see what it's like.

Anyone seen the salary sacrifice values for these yet? Its yet to hit our system (Tusker).

I was hoping it would be about £750 - £800 (take home) for a base EV Macan.

So what is that gross?
£1300 per month?

Hey Gregg, what's a Taycan Sport Turismo net on Tusker?

Surely it doesn't work like that?

If it is £800 a month you could argue, with a bit of man maths, it is more like £480 gross as you are saving your tax contribution because you have sacrificed the £800 so you are not getting taxed on it.

In other words, if you had a car at £480 a month privately you would need to take home £800 to cover it and the tax?

Not considered NI.

Sorry, I'm thinking about how much less my gross salary will be since I can drop down from the High Rate to the Basic Rate tax.

I can't run a quote currently as the new model hasn't hit Tusker yet.

My EQC listed at £65k and is £480 take home (inc BIK) on a 2 year deal 10k p.a. with maintenance/insurance with no deposit but that was a good deal as it was end of line.

I can give it back after 18 months (May 25) for £480 fee which I suspect will be the time I would get a Macan if it hits the system soonish...

ATM a base Cayenne E Hybrid Coupe is £1,100 take-home for 10k p.a over 30 months but £220 of that is BIK so if it was an EV it would be more like £925 and that lists at £82k instead of £70k.

Yes, around that sort of value.

EQE 350 SUV AMG Line works out at £790 inc BIK of £61 per month and that is based on a gross reduction of £1,258.

I'm not surprised by that. They only have one chance at making money before a pre-owned market is established and the gravity of depreciation takes over.

I own a 1 year old Macan S. I had a Cayenne diesel before that (absolutely loved it), and various other sporty cars including a couple of 911s and the like, but never an EV.
I've always been against them (for all the pitfalls stated many times on various threads) and had never driven one - until this week, when my OPC loaned me a Taycan GTS ST.

All I can say is, wow. The acceleration was brutal and addictive in equal measure, and I loved every minute. Ok, my short time with it isn't exactly representative of ownership, but what a beast. I love low down torque and this fits my bill exactly so I shall probably take a test drive in the new Macan when I get a chance.

Just for interest, when I started the Taycan it showed 94% soc and 206 miles range, so hopefully the Macan will be better than this.
