Got a unit very similar to this

It came with a set like this, mine works with the steering controls no problem.

Installing it was a bit of trial and error but it works perfectly. You need an external dongle to get car play working but android auto works out of the box with an app installed on the unit. Comes with 2 usb ports as well so can charge a device whilst using another. If you get one like the above I can help with you installing it.

That look perfect and cheaper than some I've seen. I'll have to give it a look.

By coincidence, mine is booked to go into the Dealer to have someone look at the media unit. The DAB radio feature has gone awol so the touchscreen freezes and locks up if you use that part of the menu system.

I've always rather liked the Duster. Seems to have an "honesty" about it in the Does What It Says On The Tin sense. Not unlike the Lada Niva of times gone by. And I'll bet it's a massively nicer vehicle than the Lada.

My own opinion is if I spent a lot of time in a car, kept it clean and tidy I'd want something more opulent.

My car is a dirty, low mileage doggy wagon, with a bit of forestry work thrown in. Ground clearance useful, 4x4 unnecessary.

For this purpose it's fine. Just that I don't get my hands on it much, wife likes it.

I almost can't wait till she's bored with it and I can shed it into the ground.

Big fan of the Duster here. I needed something reliable to get to work as I'd had numerous issues with my previous car, and decide that buying new was the way forward. I got the 1L LPG Comfort, and it was great. Lovely revvy engine that really didn't feel like a 1L. The downside to that was LPG suppliers in my area all stopped supplying... During Covid when prices of nearly new low mileage cars were going through the roof I upgraded to a Prestige spec diesel 4x4 and it's been absolutely brilliant. Proper utility wagon with comfy seats and a good stereo. It has just under 10,000 miles on it and it hasn't missed a beat, it's been utterly reliable. I was reading nathwraith1's account of his Aston Martin DBXs over in readers cars, bouncing back and forwards to the dealers for so many things wrong with them, and couldn't but help contrasting them with my Duster, a car worth a tenth the price of the DBX...

Apparently, it's the law that you have to park next to other Dusters!! (Mine's the filthy white one!)

I'm relooking at these having owned a 2019 1.0 a couple of years ago but all the dealers want daft money whereas no doubt they are offering book px prices..

Nice cars
But reliable at under 10k miles isn’t a selling point tbh. Every car sold should be!
My 9 year old 85k mile Skoda hasn’t missed a beat..

My wife likes her 2022 Prestige 150 as work horse which is covered in tree rash, stone chips and scratches but when we come to sell the detailer will earn his money.

Shocking paint leading to more stone chips than our pool car that is 5 yrs older and 40k miles more.

But as a couldn't give a fig about type of car they are ok.
The paint is soft but then again you can spend more on paint with some manufacturers than you can buy a whole car from Dacia.

I'm not surprised they've value engineered the hell out of the painting process.

Atleast there's less orange peel than most BMW's.

Chatting to a bloke who purchased a 73 plate pre reg Duster (bottom of the range with a standard stereo).
He paid £15800 cash for it the week before Christmas and its in commercial white colour.
Not a bargain but cheaper than most similar size rivals.
He chose it over an MG SUV because of the engine , reckons the Dacia petrol engine is far better on the fuel and nicer to live with.
He wanted a suzuki vitara but it would have been a year old to get one for £16k

2014-17 duster interior review....

The Dacia Duster’s interior has lots of room for a car of this price, but that’s about all there is positive to say about it – it looks cheap, feels cheap and packs stone age technology.

My wife's 22 plate Prestige 150 has just had it's second service, first oil and filter change at 18,000 miles and still has 90% pads and discs, 5mm on all 4 tyres and has been totally reliable.

Stone chips aside it is a good workhorse...
Not much track day use then?
