Thanks chaps.Previous build was a Locust(Ply and Ladder chassis)but well spotted!
This is scratch built. Dimensions based exactly on the series 3 Lotus Seven (which is more different to a caterham than you the urban myth) Built to be as close a copy as poss. Full series 3 rep interior just fitted last month in the correct cloth etc. Genuine 1969 Dunlop Alloys, 1600 Crossflow of course!
Aero screens for the good weather. I have full screen and half hood for the colder months (scratch built too!)
Thanks for the comments.

I hope not! It's tucked up in my garage, but I've done a few bits to it since these photos were taken. I'll get some more recent images up when the sun comes out again.

Would love to know more about these... What's a realistic build cost? How is performance and handling?
Cheers...
Build cost depends which engine you use, as does performance.Cheers...
Options are:
Ford 2.5L V6 )Mondeo)
Ford 3.0L V6 (Mondeo)
Ford Ecoboost
Volvo T5
So power ranges from 200bhp right up to 380bhp (which is what i'm expecting from mine when I finish rebuilding the engine)
HAndling is very good, suspension isn't off anything else, it's all designed for the car, there's been a lot of time and development put into it, even to the extent the car has been on a shaker rig at prodrive, the car's even spent time in a wind tunnel, it's a properly developed vehicle.
Kit price is £13.5k, to build an ecoboost powered car which is the top spec, just under 300bhp etc... it's about 30k on the road.
Unfortunately because it's such a high quality kit, things aren't cheap, an Ecoboost engine, ECU and gearbox can total up to £4k, paint £2k, trim £1.5k.
Have a look at www.vortex-auto.com give Chris a call if you want to see a car and have a test drive.
My SSC Classic Stylus , built 1997 and on the road in 1999 . Three years later a competition only car so trailered. Many incarnations of development , chassis wise , body wise , engine wise .No development since 2009/10 though since when only a few events per year entered.

Whilst not really a kit car, (as I designed and made it myself), here is my toy.
Looks good - tell us more...... In particular how did you go about making the bodyshell? Some technical details: V6 twin turbo. Albins sequential transaxle. AP brakes. Tubular chassis. There is more on the site. But feel free to ask.
