This is my Cosworth Westie. Currently with Reyland Motorsport being rebuilt and upgraded. Should be good for 500BHP+. Lively doesn`t even get close! Boost is electronically matched to gear via apexi avcr boost control. Turbo is an externally gated GT3076R. Stage 2 Karl Norris head, 6 long stud conversion, WRC head gasket, BD15 inlet and BD14 exh cams with double valve springs. Lots of other goodies too!

Really looking forward to getting her back in time for Summer.

Be interested to see how that is to drive. Kind of like using a sledgehammer for keyhole surgery but still, should be grin inducing on boost. biggrin

My SSC Classic Stylus , built 1997 and on the road in 1999 . Three years later a competition only car so trailered. Many incarnations of development , chassis wise , body wise , engine wise .No development since 2009/10 though since when only a few events per year entered.

It certainly is fun! Surprisingly benign when you need it to be, will pobble along if you like but the in gear thrust even on half throttle will literally tear your face off. I haven't had the chance to drive it with decent temps yet so will have to wait and see.

Agreed. I think these cars are utterly stunning to look at. Brilliantly understated, and the styling just seems to hang together perfectly. Inspired.cloud9

This is me at Baitings Dam Hillclimb, too many years ago in a Fiat Twin Cam powered Sylva Striker Mk4 / Clubman. Built in 93!!

I'd posted a pic of my Sammio previously, but that Little Red Car is now gone frown in order to make way for my new Big Red Car, a MasterCo Countach! smile

Should hopefully be back on the road in the next few weeks all going well.
It would seem that Clarkson's jokes about space and visibility are pretty much spot on, sadly!

That Vortex design has been around a while. With a subtler/smoother more understated boot lid and bonnet, it's look quite tidy indeed. However I can't get over the rear underdiffuser thing. not resolved to these eyes. I'd cut it off and install a FOcus ST diffuser arrangement instead. simple yet purposeful.

still a great overall design though, and definitely one of the nicer looking kits about.

I have just Google the rear of the Vortex and agree that some small changes would make big improvements.
