In what way??? I phoned em a couple of times recently, the first time the guy was rude and unhelpful. The second time another guy was polite and really helpful. Ordering parts off them has taken two months to only get a couple of parts from them. They want your money up front as in a cheque ? Lost count on how many times I have phoned them, being constantly reassured that the parts were on their way. Got a phone call Monday before Easter saying parts are in and they will be sent as soon as poss. Tuesday after Easter still no parts so called again on thursday and was told to wait till this Tuesday . Parts were delivered on tuesday but when asking the postman he said they had only been sent on Monday as a next day delivery, so have been lied to for all this time. I am now at a stage that I am thinking about selling my car and going to another manufacture so I don't have to deal with mk again.
It for sure lies (being the operative word) with MK I would never deal with them again either!
Suppliers should do what they say they will do and when they say they have sent it let it be the truth, not too much to ask for when they have had your money for weeks .
My guess is they might be ok face to face but from a distance they were awful.
Now GKD on the other hand are the business!
Some desrve to prosper others to fall...

In normal circumstances I would agree with you but having placed two seperate orders with them and receiving the same delays and excuses on both occasions I don't think it is just me. On the last order all I ordered was a Propshaft and reverse gear. All the measurements were given, so why did it take 7 weeks to be delivered, despite numerous phone cals?

Given the widespread praise of MK customer service I have to wonder where the problem really lies here?
The widespread praise is generally of the original MK Sportscars as run by Martin Keenan, before it was sold (??) to the other Keenan (correct me if im wrong on that).I would hazard a guess that the problem here lies in the same place as a lot of low volume car manufacturers... the people who run them love playing with cars but aren't so enthusiastic about running the business. There are very few kit manufacturers that I could say dealing with was a pleasure, although I have very rarely had a 'bad' experience. How helpful they are generally correlates directly with how much money you are likely to put in there pocket imminently.
I am currently building an MK and I have to agree with the OP, MK are a nightmare to deal with. Constant lies about parts being sent when obviously they haven't, when they eventually arrive they are wrong + very poor quality.
Originally I was going to buy a mac, I wish I had.
I really enjoy building the car, the only thing I don't like is dealing with MK, I now only use them if I really have to.

MK are an interesting company - my car runs brilliantly but I have had to re-do a lot of it to get it right despite the factory build. A lot of bits on the car are pop-riveted into structural components rather than using proper fittings, which is something they can improve upon. Their service was good with me but they were getting a lot of money. From stories on here i'd hesitate to order parts from them unless I had spoken to Danny personally - he's a really nice guy, and a great driver too.
