They're not exactly roomy. smiffy180 said: Does anyone know any kit car companies in west yorkshire i could go have a chat with? MNR are in Harrogate in North Yorks, MK Sportscars in Rotherham, neither are too far away from West Yorks in the grand scheme of things (depending on where in West Yorks you are). Both sell 7esque kits. Haha yes i can, im only 21 stone because im training for britains strongest man The new design that i would be purchasing is really wide! They've specifically done ot to accomodate 2 people wider than me so yes ill be fine Cheers ill see if i can pop over soon

Mk1UTRich said: You could try MK Sportscars based in Langold near Rotherham, not West Yorkshire but very close. My R1 powered MK Indy has been on the road for 5 years on the same clutch with just an uprated Barnett Clutch spring kit but the standard Yamaha clutch plates. If you consider a bike engine the R1 is an excellent option for value as it doesn't need the dry sump that a Busa or ZX12 etc need in a car application. Trust me 160bhp out of an engine and gearbox combination that only adds 62kg to the basic car will not leave you disappointed. As for embarrasing supercars, not a problem up to 100mph when all these kits start hitting the aerodynamic brick wall, but when you are sat exposed a few inches off the tarmac this will feel like 150 would in a tintop. On a trackday mine toasted 2 mates, one in a decent spec Escort Cosworth rally car and one in a V8 Vantage, it is so light you can brake so deep into corners and the turn in is awesome. Yeh ill look at them; only about 45mins from me. I think i really need to have a test drive or be driven in both a bike and high powered car engine (300hp mark) to see which route i want to do

smiffy180 said: Yeh i think someone did the maths wrong. Maybe im just wanting something thats too unrealistic. So which engine would be quicker for 0-60 and overtaking? The videos on youtube suggest bike but from this topic the car engines seem to be in favour The Blitzword website says they recommend a car engine for the torque in this model. Do you plan to actually off road it?

smiffy180 said: I might be asking to much, it would be fun to outrun supercars like ferrari's and lambos in something that cost a fraction of the price. This is perfectly possible from a kit (or other car types). However I feel the kit you are looking at is 100% the wrong type of vehicle unless you plan to race a Ferrari across a field.

Given you like the off road look and aren't too bothered about corners why not go beach buggy route!
There was a black Predator not long ago with 2276 vw lump that pulled wheelies with ease and claimed to consistently put in 3.5-3.65 second 60 times and 9.1 to 100.
It was stunning and sold for around 9k I believe last year...

Hmmm well to be fair i think this will be my 'different' kit and when i have better funds (im only 20) ill go for a proper kit like the westys sevens etc

I really would! Just cant see this project ever happening... sorry to be so negative. You just dont have the experience or knowledge it seems from your posts on here so far. Not trying to piss on your bonfire... Its just the only thing I can see happening is you spunking 5k and having a load of junk filling up a garage. Get a ready made kitcar like a old Westy or even something like an MX5 if you can fit in one! and just learn about cars through maintaining them and driving them.
