Next was some stickers... we all love stickers!

To go with the two colour orange and black scheme I quite liked the idea of stripes down the side of the car but thought it would finish it off if 'supercharged' was used as part of the stripe?

I had a water leak that needed sorting although I wasn't sure where it was coming from, After a while searching and repeatedly tightening the water pipes I found the bottom front water pipe had corroded. Due to having little time as I was taking the car to RoadRunner for a wheel alignment I cut the rot out of the pipe and re welded it together.

To tick another job off the list I wanted to position the gear lever closer to the driver and not so close to the dash, It never hit but it was something I wanted to do before the car was on the road, It just felt comfortable when I was pretending to drive the car in the garage rolleyes ...... we all must do it!!!

It's difficult to see in the picture but when it's finished it'll be about two inches further back from the original position.

Loaded on the trailer for a trip to RoadRunner.

The list is getting smaller with just a few more pre IVA jobs to do. Wheel alignment, speedo calibration, emissions check and adjustment.

Thanks for letting me take a seat in your car yesterday, it was great to see it in person. Unfortunately, I felt I was short on leg-to-steering-wheel clearance, and wouldn't be able to control the car properly. I had a word with Mike about it, and we discussed where a few inches could be gained but then I slipped into the MNR Vortx demonstrator and that was perfect from the offset, no modification necessary. Looks like that might be the way I'll be going next year instead, with an MX5 donor of course.
Shame it didn't feel spacious enough for you, good luck with the build next year what ever direction you decide. it'll be nice to see some local cars about!
