Road Runner SR2 build
Discussion
To tick another job off the list I wanted to position the gear lever closer to the driver and not so close to the dash, It never hit but it was something I wanted to do before the car was on the road, It just felt comfortable when I was pretending to drive the car in the garage ...... we all must do it!!!
It's difficult to see in the picture but when it's finished it'll be about two inches further back from the original position.
Loaded on the trailer for a trip to RoadRunner.
The list is getting smaller with just a few more pre IVA jobs to do. Wheel alignment, speedo calibration, emissions check and adjustment.

Thanks for letting me take a seat in your car yesterday, it was great to see it in person. Unfortunately, I felt I was short on leg-to-steering-wheel clearance, and wouldn't be able to control the car properly. I had a word with Mike about it, and we discussed where a few inches could be gained but then I slipped into the MNR Vortx demonstrator and that was perfect from the offset, no modification necessary. Looks like that might be the way I'll be going next year instead, with an MX5 donor of course.

Shame it didn't feel spacious enough for you, good luck with the build next year what ever direction you decide. it'll be nice to see some local cars about!petrol head ash said:

It is a shame because I was quite taken by the SR2. It's still looking like the MNR Vortx is the forerunner, but I have found myself drawn to some of the Jeremy Philips designs too. Choices, choices. Ultimately, I think a lot will come down to budget, as in how much money is left after the wedding.GarethGTR said:
Hi
Yes, it seems a shame. I was also taken by the SR2, so built the SR2 V8 with an LS engine.
As soon as it passed the IVA I sold it without even driving it, and sold it for a lot less than half the build cost.

Gareth, may I be so cheeky to ask whether it was something to do with the car that made you get rid?Yes, it seems a shame. I was also taken by the SR2, so built the SR2 V8 with an LS engine.
