Yes I've read it all, he's made promises to people on here and still not kept to them.

These are (according to current adverts on eBay) stock items, delivering them should be a formality.

This sort of thing happens all the time in failing businesses. They keep going trying to attract new orders in the desperate hope that getting them will stave off doom, and allow them the space and time in which to either refund the old orders or fulfil them. There's no intention to deceive or to defraud, it's more like grasping at straws.

It equally happens in companies that are in transistion, orders placed supplier changes and now the new spec isn't what the original customer ordered.

It does look that way. Hope we are wrong though and it all comes good. That's a fair point about only hearing the negatives but when the guys own forum is down too it is hard to find any positives. That's how I found this thread in looking tbh.

Facebook page is still active though. An alternative to going down to the shop to sort things out is to go to a show where they are doing thier charity work if that is closer.

Complete with an eBay link posted today!

It does seem an extraordinary way to carry on.

It would be great to be able to write something positive.
The idea and style of the chassis is great but that's where it ends.
I have been building kit cars for over 20 years and not experienced this before.
I think I've built 9 so far.
I even had a spell as a manufacturer with the mini based ABS Freestyle.
I sold nearly 40 kits in 12 months and didn't disappoint any one.
I even had a full time job at the time so I know how difficult it can be but there are still no excuses for how their business is run.
Mark told me it was because he was making fully built cars for a film.
The pictures are posted in this thread but he told me they were hush hush secret.
That was 2 months after being posted here.
I'm sorry but I just don't believe anything I'm told by Mark any more.

I very nearly bought one of those, back when it was with the original manufacturer.

Can't remember what went wrong, why I didn't get it, maybe it was just too small, which is hardly surprising considering it was mini based and I am a tall person.

If you do a bit of firkling around on facebook you can find Mark and his wife's personal pages as well which IIRC are open to the world, marks is usually quite quiet but his wife's is fairly active. Sorry, starting to sound like a stalker here, but I too was looking into a kit from him (allbeit the promised mid engine double wishbone kit full spaceframe kit) so did a bit of background checking before going any further, looks like I'll be looking else where.

You have read what Mark (dreamshack) himself has posted haven't you?
Talk is cheap bud, people just want the goods they have paid for, some have waited over 9 months, if you cant deliver the goods when you say you can then don't take orders until you can, simples.

I agree wholeheartedly!

I was replying to smiffy who seemed to think there still may be a reasonable explanation for messing people around. My point was he's already admitted messing up and appears to be using the anti-blame cloak of "doin a lodda work fer charridee mate" to sort of say tough almost

It's alright doing charity work and saying its a non-profit business but we all need to pay the bills somehow.
Just cos the charity doesn't make money doesn't mean the same for Mark

Hi All,
After discussions with my colleagues we have decided to sell our three chassis.
I'll post pictures later.
I know the back up from Dreamshack is non existant but really once you have the chassis you don't need them.
It's just a beetle underneath like building a beach buggy is.

I have one which is ready to strip and paint, i've bought a basic loom off ebay to complete this. Fitted with a good 1600 engine which runs really well. This has 14in wheels and was built for road use
One needs floors replacing which I have already bought and strip and paint. I don't have seats but I think just about everything else is there. Fitted with a good 1641 engine. This has 15in wheels with big tyres, really big tyres at rear and was being built to go anywhere.
The last is the big Safari. Not really touched it yet so will need some chassis tubes welding in and all welds finishing. I have a beetle chassis which needs new floors welding in which I have already bought. I have a 1600 engine which is untested.

The first two Sandrails could be put on the road ready for summer with a few weekends of work.
The Safari is a project but still I think can be on the road in about 100 hours of work.

All beetle chassis are tax free and I have V5c documents for each.
Overall I have spent nearly £7000 but due to a new business venture need them out my workshop.
I'm looking for £3500 for the lot.

Any one interested please give me a message. I will split the about into 3 but would like to sell as job lot if possible.

Cheers All.

That's a real good buy for someone. I want to do mine from scratch myself though. Quite liking the whole ripping up a car older than me thing!
