They look like immense fun!

The lack of IVA is a huge bonus too, as it puts off a lot of would be builders of other vehicles.

I didn't realise these didn't need iva.
So what are they classed as on insurance?

Insurance is specialist/kit, this one cost me fully comp for the year around £120.

The 4x4? They must fly even on standard engine!

The 4x4 is heavier. But I can tell you from personal experience they fly. on road quick enough, and offroad just unstoppable

How easy/difficult is it to fit a subaru legacy engine into one of these?

Quite a few beetles have had this conversion but is it a straight swap or are massive alterations required?

Its a lot easier in a rail as there is no bodywork to get in the way. Basically they bolt straight on with an adaptor plate and kit.

More good work there - been lurking on your FB page, do you have any more info on the sportster RV (post 1/8) - loks more minimalist but with something to hang wings off, also mentions roof ? Any completed pics ? Just need to get my (potentially) sick (as in ill, no good) v6 bike carb motor up and running (50% there, will have next weekend on it to diagnose) and look at the possibility of mating with the Audi/Boxster transaxle - long term plan coming together.

I dont have any completed pics - the prototype frame went up to our Northern agents for building up. Having said that we have another one on the go now for a chap who is going to drive it all the way to singapore! The wings are basically panelled in tubes, so you still have the tubular effect but with strong arches that compliment the shape.

Cheers pal,
I'm up north in Huddersfield but it'll be well worth the drive down
