Thanks for the tips.

I have modified the website. www.BertiniGT25.com

Let me know if you think this is better?

Thanks again - Its hard to take sometimes but I really do appreciate constructive criticism.

A sneak preview news article featuring the Bertini GT25 has just been published in Complete Kit Car magazine. The words have been blurred by request of the editors. But they said nice things :-)

There have been a few developments:
Firstly there is another article - this time in TKC magazine (Total Kit Car). This one is an online article - but they want to do a print feature when its finished :-)
here is the link to the online article:

http://www.totalkitcar.com/2013/08/29/italian-exot...

Kit development wise the first moulding is out of the mould and the underskin is being developed and fixed to allow easy installation of lights and grills + easy fitment of the bonnet to the existing hinges.
i have my Z3 back from the local BMW specialists DM WORX - i have had Bilstein Shocks, Eibach Springs and poly bushes fitted. Plus many worn suspension parts replaced.
Also had the wheels fitted balanced and tracking adjusted - it now sits 30mm lower and you can really notice the difference in the cornering.

Here is a picture of the new wheels fitted to my Z3.

Maybe a silly question, but...
I thought the 2.8-3.2L cars had wider rear wings than the 1.8-2.2L cars?

Will your kit fit both?

Yep. I'm making it to fit both. It will be wide at the back. To match the larger engine cars. The wheel widths can be accommodated either by selecting the desired offset in the rear wheels or fine tuning with shim plates or small spacers. Depending on the wheel offset and width.
I hope that makes sense :-)

Things have slowed up a bit. But should have the front end finished (pre-paint) by mid October. Then work will start on the rear towards the end of November.
Here is a flavour of what the front will look like with the grills fitted.

I'm getting hints of TVR and Aston about that front. Keep up the good work.

I'm going to keep an eye on the classifieds for cheap Z3s over the winter...

Thanks for the encouragement. There should be some real bargain Z3's over the winter.

I have just got the badge that I designed back from the manufacturers in China. I'm really happy with the quality :-)

Looks good - been following this thread with interest.

Why is is the numberplate aperture for a foreign plate size though?

( sorry to be pedantic)

I wanted to have a square plate design. So it fits UK square plate, Aussie and US number plates. Personally I intend on getting a personalised registration (prob with 5 characters) and get it on an Australian plate. With the correct UK spacing.
I know it seems silly. But I like the way the squarer plates look.

Great progress - admire your drive and it's looking really, really good.

Ever seen the VW SP2? Not sure why but the rear reminds me a bit of it for some reason - I know, just me...

Thanks. :-)
I just looked up the VW and I agree there are a few similarities. It's kinda the look I'm going for.
Most people say it has a few aspects of a 911, BMW Z8 and e type jaguar. I'm glad to add that VW to the list :-)

Will the Z3 hardtop still fit (sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere!)

The Z3 hardtop should still fit. Not 100% sure yet as I have not tried it. I plan to design my own hardtop though which will fit both the bertini and the Z3. This will be a more fastback design with a smaller rear window. More reminiscent of the haaman style hardtop.
In the year following launch I also hope to design and produce a coupe/fastback version of the car.

They are porsche 911 lights.

The rear is now filled smoothed and ready to have the moulds and mouldings made.
