Things are moving along quite quickly now. There has been a news article in KIT CAR BUILDER magazine in USA and also the first rear moulding has been produced. I expect to start fitting them to the actual car early in January.
Then it's just a boot lid, mini front wings, bonnet light brackets and under skin.

Here is a hint of what the prospective Bertini Fastback coupe lines might look like. The fastback should share all the body panels with the roadster except the boot lid. This will mean roadster customers could convert their car to a fastback at a later date.

Cheers :-)
The car behind is not a kit. It's actually an Iso Grifo waiting to he restored.

The kit car project looks promising but the car in the background is very nice! It's a Iso Lele as already pointed out, very rare and quite desirable. The Grifo is another Iso model.

Sorry. My mistake. It belongs to one of the guys working on the fabrication. I thought he said it was a grifo. I think he plans to restore it at the end of next year.

I am pretty excited now as the rear moulding is fitted to the back of the actual first Bertini car.
I have a few pictures and a video of the moulding going on.
I am really happy as the door gaps look just as good as the original car.
Here is a link to the video which is on my Bertini GT25 facebook page:

and here are a few pictures:

Side profile is awesome - just about perfect in fact.

I'm saying this as an armchair car designer, so i have zero authority. However, I am also saying this as a potential buyer, because with a teeny bit of bodywork change I reckon I could see myself in one of these! I'm not so keen on the front and rear... they are almost right, but the square plae recess needs to be europeanised, and the front needs a teeny little bit more depth to it as it's a little generic at present. Nothing that couldn't be customised with my own car wink

Top work(manship) - keep it up. Can't wait to see it in the flesh. smile

where are you based?

I'm in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. I hope to have the car ready to be painted by the end of February.

I have just got some fiat 500 arbarth xenons and i thought i would photoshop them onto an old progress picture with some grills and a different wheel.
I cant wait to get them fitted to the car when i comes back from the paint shop at the end of next week.

Any issue with the xenons & MOT? Don't these now need to have washers?

Very good point about the washers. I will look into it. Thanks for the input.

I have just got the Bertini polo shirts and caps delivered. I'm really happy with the quality of the embroidery.
I know its only a little thing, but I really like the little details.
I'm looking forward to wearing them at the stoneleigh kitcar show.

I'm pretty sure they do and auto levelling. MOT Failure otherwise...

I have found some very similar looking lights that are not xenon. So I'm going to use them.
I think it would be a bit of a nightmare linking up the washers and self leveling system.
Thank for the info though.
