Dax Rush V8 Purchase
Discussion
Not imminent but in the next couple of years I'm going to be buying a V8 Rush. I don't want to build it myself as I don't have the time, space or inclination really....
Early I know but if I start researching now I will be in a good position at buying time ....
So.... Advice and information please :-)

No too concerned about that. M.A.N Motorsport have purchased the Rush so it looks like it may have a bright future. Try here: http://forum.daxsportingclub.com/phpBB3/
Everyone knows that V6s are where it's at, anyway...

Great link thanks ! I had spent some time looking for a decent forum but didn't find this !!! DOH !!!Everyone knows that V6s are where it's at, anyway...
I'd suggest you start looking now!
View as many cars as you possibly can as the build quality varies wildly, and get yourself to Stoneleigh as there's often a good turnout of V8 Rush's, some of which are often for sale.
I looked at the Rush earlier this year and saw poorly built cars for £15K and very good builds for £12K, the prices seemed to depend on the weather and owner expectation rather than the actual quality of the car.

I'm looking :-) It's fun but not when ever the Mrs sees me and says not yet ..... Has the Kit Car show season finished ?View as many cars as you possibly can as the build quality varies wildly, and get yourself to Stoneleigh as there's often a good turnout of V8 Rush's, some of which are often for sale.

I'm not sure Nick. I was pondering a V8 '7' and happened to stumble across an advert for the Stoneleigh show at the time. It definitely helped to align the ducks and focus my attention. Where are you based? - it may be worth asking around on the localised forums?
Hi Nick
I am also based in Sheffield (S35) area, and am considering selling my Dax Rush V8 (4.6ltr, fully Dax IRS rear suspension with LSD). Car has only covered ~ 6K miles, and car is 1 owner (I built it jasu as SVA was being introduced). Car is on SORN due to no time to use the car any more. Would be looking for < £10K for it since it has no current MOT / Road tax and would need a full service prior to going for MOT. There's a recent pic of the car on my PistonHeads profile. If you'd be interested in dicussing / viewing the car, please let me have your contact details.

this sentence could stand for nearly ALL kitcars....in most cases the sellers expect too much...as they add their expenses to the price they bought the car and think this IS the sales price...totally wrong.Gassing Station | Kit Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
