Does anyone know what has happened to Carlton Carrera reg. no. Q348GDB? I built the car in 1984 and used it for 9 years until I sold it in 93. The most memorable trip was a camping holiday to Northern Spain which included having the clutch pedal welded on the way down and using a small stream as an access pit to wrap exhaust blanket around a fractured pipe. I have done a DVLC check and it has not been taxed for a long time so it is probably sitting at the end of a garden somewhere. The car was unique for a Carreras in having a black gel coat. At least Carlton told me at the time they would never produce another.

I have recently read several threads about the Carlton Montana. I remember seeing the car advertised and am very interested to know if any were ever produced.

I saw their blue Montana project at Stoneleigh back in the 80s - pretty sure someone said it was never finished/produced. There is an American made Pantera replica - one was for sale recently on carandclassics
