Long story short: BECs are about intensity - think of it as spending 20mins at a time in a spin dryer when you are really trying to crack-on, or a quad -shot espresso where some want a cappucino. BECs are rewarding and knackering in equal measure, but you really can also trickle around country lanes at 40-50 on a day out to the seaside if you want.
I took a mate who owned a Cerbera round Abingdon in my Fury9R, and he was a molten mess at the end of five laps. He said to his mate - "that thing is either accellerating or braking -its mental"......
I am going to see if I can organise a few test drives in the latest BE cars whilst at Donington Kit car show this weekend. A number of replies on here have made me think perhaps I should look at BE cars again. It does sound as though they are improving. I am looking forward to the experience! I know enough BEC manufacturers!

I like that too, but I also like being married - Hmm, could I hide it at a mate's house?

L9wul, the Striker is small even for a seven type, but they have a surprising amount of space inside, more than a narrow body Westfield for instance. One advantage of going to a show is that quite a few owners will let you check to see if you fit if you ask nicely.

Happy hunting.

Thats my Atomic - I know im biased but it really is a proper weapon to drive (have owned a few car engined 7's - but this thing is in another league)
Im not 100% on selling it yet - need to make space for another project so something has to go
If you want any info on the car or my BEC experiences in general feel free to PM me
Cheers

Here's what a few quids worth of MK Indy R1 can do. That's a GT2 CS I was following till he binned it trying to stay ahead. An aero car (Fury etc) is even faster. Have fun choosing!

Thanks again for all the comments/videos etc. it's a great help, and jubal, it looks like you were having some fun that day!! And that video alone has made me want a BEC more! Unfortunately never had chance to go to donnington this weekend, but I think my search is now on for a new toy....

Jubal is no slouch behind the wheel.

Here's a couple of videos (plenty more both road+track on my channel) from my '06 R1 engined Fury on the road.
