Great to see coverage in this way. Just what we need.
Great show, good to meet so many people, great to see everyone enjoying it, sadly that is it for kit shows this year apart from TKC live at Brands on the 15th Nov. I will be at Pistons and Props on the 27/28th Sept and NEC classic on the 14-16th Nov. P&P was great last year and some kits will be allowed due to them being in classic style, I will be there with a Replicar, come and say hi.

Hi Stuart,

Was a very good show, much better than last year so hopefully it will continue.

I will be going to piston and props too, should have at least two white Countach reps there smile

I thought it was a great article. Showed a real understanding of where the modern kit car industry is, the challenges it faces... but also the fun that can be had. Can't do any harm.

As Adam states - a good article.
I'd also like to add..... a great show.
Thanks to Ian, Justin, Adam, John and the rest of the CKC staff - hope the show was a success for you. I suspect good sales were made by all traders during the weekend, and all showgoers had a good time. So all-in-all a real boost to the industry and hobby.

'Turismo UK unveiled its Avalanche GT kit for the Mk3 Toyota MR2 roadster at the show. The panel kit, which simply bolts on to the MR2, results in a much more aggressive-looking and distinctive car.'

I googled this but can find no info - anyone able to shed some light on it??

Info can be found here : http://www.turismo.uk.com/projects.php Spoke the guys on the stand briefly, there still working on the design of the roof and a few other parts, then car would be finished.

One highlight (for me anyway) was seeing 'Grandad' Gerry Hawkridge of Hawk Cars leading numerous kiddies around in his small-scale electric cars. Top marks for his selfless donation of time to enthuse the youngsters towards kit car ownership!
WELL DONE GERRY!

I think it was better this year than last, less stand filling at least. Still not much to see however. I think the £15 entry was way too steep for what was there. I'd say £5-7 max is all it's worth given it's one small hall, filled 3/4 full.

Stoneleigh roughly the same cost and hard to get round it all in a day. See everything at Donnigton in a couple of hours at a leisurely pace.

They need to make it cheaper.

The entrance fee at Donington also includes admission to a full days racing on the circuit.
