hello kit car folks...

After many years of umming and ahhing... (mostly ahhhing) I finally bought a 7 type kit to satify the small light car bit of my life, which was apparently missing...

Seems good so far. Vauxhall XE redtop powered with single carb conversion, 5 speed type 9 box, LSD..
Does anyone know anything else about Formula 27's ?
All I know is what comes up on the very basic owners site about there history etc, but not any actual real world experience...

Congrats I used to have an exdemo F27 car, only a X-flow but loved it as my daily car for 2.5 years and loved it! Bought it for £6.2k and sold it for £6k!

I think mine may have been a factory build as it has a year related plate, used to be Xflow until 2012 apparently...

I like the front suspension setup, it's great fun drive! I moved to London area so couldn't drive it as my daily on the M3 do miss driving a L7R. Hard car to have as daily drive with no heater also! Mmmm got me thinking again of L7R.

I also have a Formula 27 - factory built with a Honda Blackbird 1100 bike engine. Love it. There are 4-5 of us with F27's in Northumberland, 2 had car engines but they converted them to bike power.
Yours looks nice, enjoy it!

That looks like serious fun... smokin

Mine runs a little warmer than I'd like, and everything seems correctly connected and set up, water pump and fan runs right way etc.. Or is is poss as I've read that it isn't that uncommon with 7 type cars due to small Polo rad.

Mine will be different due to being a bec so can't really help there. Have you registered on Locost Builders forum? It's the best place for advice for kit cars.

I'm sure you didn't expect to get away with posting that video and not have to explain WTF happened at 4.15?

Come on, spill the beans...!
