Not wishing to spoil anyone's enjoyment I'll give no clues to the content... laugh
but why? and what happens once it's finished?

To get it into the shed in the back garden I turned the chassis on the side and pushed it down the path. I tend to measure once and cut twice so forgot about the electricity box stuck out an inch.

(Are you still with me?)

Therefore, I had to shave an inch off the concrete fence posts my side of the fence. Unfortunately this did not go down well with my neighbour.

(Nearly there hang on in.)

So in order to get the car out without upsetting my neighbour further, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, apparentlyeek

All went very well only one casualty who received a broken paw wink

Regards

Nick

Hi Paul,

Yes they are well spotted, the kit came to me third hand although had not really been started. The first owner had speced brake discs so large it was not possible to fit 15 inch wheels frown

Regards

Nick

P.S. Your build is really impressive, I have modelled mine on an original 1960's GT40, huge panel gaps, held together with gaffa tape, holes drilled in the wrong place. Took me hours to get the authentic look, had nothing to do with my lack of skills wink

Ah I see, on the bright side it should stop very well... It must be such a good feeling to be near the end of the build now, how long do you think before IVA? Do you have another garage/workshop to carry out the multitude of "little" jobs that everyone seems to have at the end of the build? well done though it does look great and is definitely a bit of motivation for me seeing where I could be in a year or twos time. thumbup

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the kind words, hoping to get the car IVA’d first half of 2015, have the shed now to do bits and pieces in. I don’t like looking at your build thread (although I do wink ) as it demotivates me. Don’t wish to appear a sycophant but I wish I could start again and follow what you have done in your build especially where you have put your fuse box!!!!! Although I don’t think my loom would have stretched that far.

Cheers Nick,

I assume Mick will be working his IVA Magic for you? If so I look forward to seeing your car in his workshop soon, the end truly is in sight thumbup

The fuse board location caused me a few issues, originally I mounted under the dash but had it pointed out realised that it would not work as the Dash vents were I the way so I had to rethink, in fact the SGT loom lends its self quite well to the new location with very minor modification to move the relays from the nose area back with the fuses. As always hinde sight is a wonderful thing and I'm very lucky to have had many other peoples builds to look at and shamelessly steal ideas from... biggrin
If you're ever heading down to see Mick do give me a shout as I'm only 20 miles away and you will be welcome to drop in for a cuppa.
