The Deon/JH Classics (both John Hurst)kit moulds definitely weren't taken from a crash damaged car. They were taken off a Daytona Classics 204GT kit. The car supplied for their kit was a Dino 206GT (supplied by myself). Any droopy noses etc crept into the builds at a later date.

The CASCU body is 246 based and as far as I can see has no droopy bits or issues.

No original Dino (apart from second series 308 GT4s) had any prancing horse badges in any case. So there's no need for them.

The DeHavilland car should have Elise like performance with the K series, so it will be quick.

Just occurred to me that there may be one or even two people who may be interested to see the body/car that was first out of the moulds after being produced off the Dino 206GT that started a few of the kits.

Thanks for that link. I actually found it after a quick search. That car looks great. You obviously know your Stuff on these cars. Have you had a look at the MG TF based kit? Just interested in your opinion.

I know a 'bit' as I have lived with Lotuses since 1968 but the Dino-Europa project was really pure luck as everything was just so close when I got to the nitty gritty stuff mating the two together.

I have always been interested in who's done what with regard to the Dino and have had close looks at the John Hurst and the de Havilland kits. Obviously the later JH MR2 kits aren't accurate (if you know the Dino) but the MGTF looks better - although I still find something 'not quite right' with the front wheel area.

My interest is purely in an inquisitive way as I am extremely happy with the fruits of my crazy idea all those years ago! (one day - maybe - I'll get around to tidying up those areas that are mostly hidden but are frustratingly occasionally really annoying... For now though I just enjoy driving it.
