So you would never have said that "All Cobra replicas should be banned" in another section of these forums?

But no, that is not the point.
The point (that you avoided responding to) is that you feel qualified to tell us what is "the best" (when referring to a fibreglass car with MGB running gear) but then admit that you have limited knowledge and are not willing to learn.
I'm having trouble understanding your logic.

You don't even mention the badging issue until your 3rd post, and then it reads as an extra bit of hate in addition to the first part of the post. Maybe you should go back and read the who thread???

Yes I did say that and I have never tried to hide it,I perhaps should have qualified that the Hawke shape was better, obviously the running gear is not even close; and it was my second post that referred to badging.
I am flattered that you have taken the trouble to search other parts of the forum looking for any other posts I have made, but I think you will find I was never trying to advise "the best" as it would be against my principles.
Having looked at your website it would seem that you build cars from kits supplied by others. I have no doubt that with the machinery, tooling and your expertise you turn out a car very superior than that built by some home mechanics with none of these advantages available to them, however it will never be an AC Cobra and should not be badged as such; but I do suspect that very often you will be acting on instructions from your clients.
As I own and maintain an original early Cobra, an Ace and a CRS I think perhaps that I qualify enough to have an informed opinion on these AC's, but you are right not intimate knowledge of the various replicas, but of course we all have our own opinions. Before any one says that I am worried about the residual value of my cars I am not, they were purchased many years ago when the market was low and sensible, they are not for sale and are used regularly; they will pass to my enthusiastic sons.
Well for me I think this thread is done, it has strayed away from the OP subject,I respect that you and I will probably never agree on certain aspects of this and I have no wish to get into a heated debate it would be pointless and a waste of valuable time; the plus side for you however is that you have gained some valuable publicity for your business.

Close.;-)
My official website is out of date. The Dax building is suspended, for the time being at least.
However, if you have access to parts for Mk3 Cobras I would be very interested in talking to you. I have recently tooled up to produce original spec. Running gear parts, but would be equally happy to buy them from an existing source.
