I'm starting to look for a Westfield SEight and this one has caught my eye. It's been up for a while but not moved. Any thoughts on what's not to like?

I used to own this car about 9 years ago. I had it for a bit less than a year if memory serves. Bought it as a pre-winter bargain, ran around in it for a while, did a few track days and sold it own for a profit in the summer.

I sold it because the gearbox was a bit agricultural for track days and it was incredibly quick for the road and you ended up catching up with everyone else virtually all the time. However, if you like getting up very early in the morning as you seem to need to to enjoy a fast car on the road you'll have a hell of a lot of fun in it.

Doesn't look like very much has changed and it only seems to have done 2000 miles since I had it which is a shame. I did 1500 in the short time I had it and I felt it was underused.

It's probably not selling as it's got no roof and it's too torquey to enjoy when it isn't warm. You have to be very circumspect in the cold and or wet with the throttle.

As long as there's nothing wrong with it at the moment and you can knock some money off it due to the time of year it's a good fun car.

There are a number of fury/stylus/phoenix with v8's in a similar chassis. My mate had both a fury and a stylus v8, both sounded epic.

My view is that it is neither one nor other. V8s tend to be bought as tourers with a comfy spec. This is aero screen so puts of a lot of potential v8 owners. I bet if you put a windscreen doors roof and some chrome it would fly out.

It doesn't drive like a tourer so that would be a waste of that engine.

What it needs is a t5 box, remove the carpets, a change of seats and some more track oriented wheels. That's what I wanted to do with it but life got in the way.

I sold it for pretty much what it's up for now.

The car as it is was built about ten years ago with that engine. I've not idea what spec it was before or who built it. Hardly makes a difference after 17 years.
